I seriously do not understand how anyone can claim to be a true Irish nationalist while not also being a huge environmentalist
You’re seriously telling me that you don’t care that our beautiful island being raped by pollution????
While many republicans commemorate or defend Seán Russell as a patriot, others point to his links with Nazi Germany. Should he be commemorated as an Irish patriot, condemned as a collaborator, or understood in the context of a complicated era? We want to hear your views.
@SeamusMor19 Wouldn't go too hard on the Blackpill yet, paddy is still a member of the party. It's too early to make any harsh decisions on writing off the party better to just wait a see how it's handled
@ThePuntMurphy@CradleOfTheGael Much respect to our continental friends and maybe the trips where educational from a organisational learning aspect but I felt like making videos visiting and introducing the various np cumanns around the country would have been a better use of time/funds
Sad to see but it cant be denied that most of the recent high profile events the NP carried out felt more in the sphere of European identitarian movements rather than irish nationalism, with international speakers given high profile speaking roles
On the 6th off June I resigned as Leader and President of the National Party. I was asked to return, and I did. When I later set out my reasons in writing, I was voted off the Ard Chomhairle.
I have said nothing for two months while an agreed statement was sought. None was reached, so here is my own.
I remain a member & I remain your councillor for Blanchardstown-Mulhuddart.
The work goes on.
@returns_rich@CradleOfTheGael Thats fair and true some of the events especially the ones held outside Dublin have been good advertisement for the party what I question is having people like Jared Taylor or Martin sellner having major speaking roles in these events. People with no connection to ireland
@CattleRaider12 It's true, I've mentioned it be-fore, but this Inter-National Conference business, when we don't even have a Cumann in every county in the 26, never-mind the 32, is a poor use of our time.
@CradleOfTheGael 100% crazy priorities for a political party to be focused on hosting international events rather than getting cumanns set up in all counties
Also crazy to see that @PQuinlanNP probably the best politician/ figure in this movement/party wasn't given fairly standard access to party records when he was the LEADER of the party. Insane to see the person who a lot of people probably still remained with the party,
@PQuinlanNP Sad to hear that such a dedicated and hardworking nationalist like @PQuinlanNP didn't get access to the proper resources or support either way great councillor whose doing massive work in the local community deserves all the support he can get

The FOI data is out and it confirms what many of us already knew.
Non-Irish households made up 25.5% of Fingal’s social housing waiting list in 2024 — yet they received 35.5% of the actual allocations.
Irish people are being put further down the queue in their own country!
They will never release the full picture unless we force them to.
Email [email protected][email protected] & [email protected] right now and demand the data broken down by country of origin, including HAP and RAS.
Here is the email. Copy, paste, send.
Subject: Public Demand – Immediate Release of Social Housing, HAP & RAS Data by Country of Origin
Dear Ms Farrelly, Mr Carroll & FOI officer,
I am writing to formally demand that Fingal County Council immediately publish a full and transparent breakdown of the following data:
All social housing allocations (Council and AHB) broken down by country of origin of the principal applicant (not merely citizenship status).
All households currently in receipt of Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) broken down by country of origin.
All households currently in receipt of the Rental Accommodation Scheme (RAS) broken down by country of origin.
The FOI data already released (FOI/2026/148 and FOI/2026/190) shows that non-Irish households represented 25.5% of the 2024 waiting list yet received 35.5% of AHB allocations between 2020 and mid-2026.
This disparity is already public as highlighted by Cllr. Quinlan.
Continuing to hide the country-of-origin detail behind citizenship status only serves to obfuscate the true picture.
The public is entitled to know,
How many of those classified as “Irish” are recent citizens who arrived from outside the State.
The precise national origin of those receiving social housing, HAP and RAS in Fingal.
Previous refusals to collate or release this information on the grounds that it would be an “unjustifiable use of public resources” are no longer acceptable.
The data exists on application forms. The public interest in transparency on this issue is overwhelming as I'm sure your inbox will reflect.
I demand that this information be published on the Fingal County Council website in full, anonymised aggregate form, within 21 days.
Irish people in Fingal have a right to know who is being prioritised for housing supports paid for by the Irish taxpayer.
I look forward to your prompt confirmation that this data will be released.
Yours sincerely,
[Your Full Name]
Fingal cannot say who a single one of these proposed "homes" is actually for.
No tenure breakdown. No enforceable owner occupier commitment. No costed infrastructure plan and open ended 15+ storey gateway buildings on every corner.
People are against a plan that refuses to answer the most basic questions and the more serious one of who is this development actually for, the Irish or the world?
There is a very real foreign influence op being played with much of the "populist" forces in Ireland. I think they would prefer to keep this movement as chaotic and malleable as possible, and far away from a principled Irish Gaelic nationalism under one banner.
With Dunsink, I opposed it initially because I asked if it could be ring fenced for local Irish people. I was told that’s not possible, that we won’t even have an idea who will inhabit a new 45,000 population city being built on the edge of Dublin, I am now fighting an uphill battle alongside @SteRedmondNP to ensure that local Irish people and their homes aren't over shadowed by 7-15 storey apartments.
That they can get around their own area without massive congestion, that the animals who inhabit that GREEN BELT are maintained and their environment respected.
All they say about “this helps solve the housing crisis” everytime a new development comes online is pure rhetoric while tens of thousands of people from different parts of the world flood our island yearly.
But sites like Cú Chulainn’s Castle and the lands around them should be completely off limits to urban expansion to accommodate our own people let alone a completely alien populace.
You'd have to hate this country to approve a plan like this.
It is not ignorance, it is malice.
Present any supporter of this programme of dispossesion by deception with CSO stats showing the percentages of non-Irish people living in new build housing estates and the state will pay it's best press-titutes handsomly to simply slander you and tell the public what it already sees to be true that its all in their heads.
They want us gone and our homeland blended into oblivion.
This will bring up a typical divide between Aontú Cuckservatism and Nationalism.
Cuckserving the system of Catholic patronage of schools while also allowing Educate Together and other NGOs/boards/charities continued control -
Or move to a National system with a Gaelicist ethos and find some other way to do Catechesis.
Wood Quay, Hill of Allen, Hill of Tara - all defaced or stripped out in the name of 'progress'. Thousands and thousands of other smaller archaeological and anthropological ruins and landscapes lesser known all gone. It will get worse.
No archaeological or historical site is safe from FF/G.
And acting under pressure in a housing crisis, building in such mass - 1000 units! - the houses will be generic (at best) in looks, in build quality and most importantly, they will be functional (not individualised human) spaces for rootless economic units (not humans).
They will build on every piece of our history and archaeology and reduce our sacred and inherited places to the status of flower pots, or benches, or porcelain gnomes - that is garden ornaments. This castle will simply be a tacky selling point for a substandard sea of housing. It'll be named Cú Chulainn View or some generic, soulless subversive name. There will be Cliffs of Moher View, Newgrange Gardens, Rock of Cashel Park.
As said elsewhere and explained in Vandalising Ireland, many if not most of those buying these houses will be immigrants who will think nothing of the history of the castle because it is not *their* history. At best they'll look at it as though it was a ride in a theme park - which Irishness is fast becoming - and at worst, it will be a magnet for graffitti and anti-social behaviour for their children who grow up culturally dislocated in a 1000 strong housing estate that was built with exploiting 1st generation workers for the FDI economy in mind and with no thought given to their children.
And even those Irish who live there - should they choose to focus their thoughts towards their Irishness - will see Dun Dealgan reduced to an ornament, stripped of its majesty, mystique and landscape. They will go to the top and look out on a sea of houses and wonder at how generic and densely packed in they all are. They will struggle to pick out their own house, a needle in a haystack of sameness.
The castle will become a viewing ramp from which one can witness the shift of Ireland from a lived place, an ancient nation, into a concrete packing station for US multinationals.
It is essential that everyone on the political right adopt their local heritage. FF/G, with the backing of most politicians in the country, are engaged in an intentional project to cut the roots out from under you so that your children will grow up believing that they have no claim to their heritage and with it, the nation. They will grow up not being fully human, simply easily exploitable economic units for the FDI economy.

The only Fingal Councillor to consistently oppose the plan for the 18,500 unit plan which will house 45,000 people when completed was Patrick Quinlan of the National Party. He spoke at a meeting in Valley Park yesterday evening following a march of several hundred people who are opposed to the building of multi storey apartment blocks directly behind their own homes.
Community activist Stephen Redmond also spoke, as did several local people including Seán who has been living in Valley Park for decades and who raised his family there. Redmond and others in the estates immediately impacted were the first to make people in Finglas aware of the plan.
@PQuinlanNP@SteRedmondNP
Thank you to everyone who came out to yesterday's public consultation on the Dunsink Lane plans.
The turnout said it all this community is not going to sit back while decisions are made about our area without proper answers.
Locals raised serious concerns on the day, including:
💧 Drainage and flood risk
🏢 Building heights
🦔 Wildlife habitat conservation
🏫 School places and GP capacity
🛣️ Road widths and traffic
🚰 Water infrastructure
🚊 The Luas
🏡 Allocations
👥 Population growth
These aren't small details either they're the difference between a development that works for local families in desperate need of housing or one that leaves them paying the price for years to come.
Our position is clear: this plan needs to be scrapped and a new one brought forward and presented to the people that addresses any concerns they have.
In keeping with the character of the surrounding area any development on this land must be low-rise, with nothing above 3 storeys.
📢 we're only getting started!
Join us for a protest march this Thursday, starting at Scribblestown Lane at 8pm.
Bring your neighbours, bring your friends, bring your signs, let's keep the pressure on. 💪
