Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. addresses crowds gathered to rally for southern desegregation at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena on June 18, 1961. The ACLU SoCal proudly co-sponsored the event.
On #MLKDay and in our centennial year, we honor and commit to his legacy.

LGBTQ people have always existed.
Our fight for legal recognition in the US didn’t begin with the ACLU’s first LGBTQ rights case in 1936 — and this fight is far from over. https://t.co/QPPkkS9eLu
