A gas powered Doodlebug delivers a 40’ boxcar of dimensional lumber to Rhodes & Son Lumber Co. The delivery of the lumber load was a priority and the Mine Workers Run would pass by the lumber company on its way to the coal mine. Service the Cayuga Valley way!

Member John Tomandl’s New York Central steam locomotive pulls a block of ice reefers pass the Rhodes & Son Lumber Company on the Club’s HO scale layout at last week’s meeting.
Today is our Annual Summer Picnic. This year member John Tomandl offered to host the picnic at his house. You will notice, that trains will not be left out of the mix, as John’s G-Scale layout will be front and center!

Tom Hundley visited the Club on Wednesday, and as advertised, was gladly given trackage rights on the CVRR. Here we see his PRR GG1 pulling a passenger train with two headend boxcars of express freight over a truss deck bridge on our HO scale layout.
FGLK B23-7 #2304 is tied on to the headend of a block of gondolas to be picked up by the westbound GS2 (Sweep Train) this evening. 2304 will be brought back to Geneva, and another locomotive will be dropped off to replace it as AY1 (Auburn Yard Job) power. M.A.Fritz Photograph.
CSX NRE Genset locomotive #1302 is pulling TBOX boxcars from the off spot track in the Industrial Park on our Club’s HO scale layout during a recent operating session. The boxcars will be spotted on the Team Track, where their large paper roll loads will be transferred to trucks.
A PRR H10s 2-8-0 pulls a string of empty coal hoppers back to CV Yard after they were unloaded at the Bishop Coal Company. The action took place on our Club’s HO scale layout.
