I get asked a lot why I don’t use my actual name. And it’s not because I hate it. In fact I quite like it.
Most of the time it’s because people ignore the hyphen.
You’d think after 33 years I’d have got over it, but I’m not.
I know a lot of people do drop the latter half of their name (my sister is one of them) but when you PHYSICALLY WRITE IT DOWN IN THE FIRST NAME BOX and it still gets ignored I just think its really flipping rude.

‼️Lightning strike - impact at hospital site‼️
‼️A lightning strike has caused some systems and processes across the Trust to be impacted. Nobody has been hurt or injured and we have put mitigating actions in place to ensure safety and ongoing patient care continues.
☎️ The weather is also increasing calls to our switchboard. This may result in some calls not getting through in a timely manner. We apologise for this and are working to maximum capacity to ensure this impact is reduced.
‼️We would like people to know that they are to come to the Trust to get the right access to emergency care.
‼️This is especially important for women with reduced foetal movements etc or in labour. People are also being advised to utilise NHS111 for further guidance as needed.
‼️Engineers and DSFS colleagues, together with the hospital team, are aware of the issues and working to resolve it. We expect further update by 10am on Tuesday (28 May) but will provide information as required if this changes.
Thank you for your support and patience.
