I have a fantasy novel out! If you think the story of a wizard forced to confront the depths of his ignorance while a bunch of fireballs fly about sounds good, you might enjoy this book! Cover by the incredible @ArchApolar

@HY_leo0810 Huh, that’s pretty dramatic. The most I’ve heard of is 50k usd which would be around 700,000 yen.
Those rates seem equal to what a senior vfx animator would make in the west, which I thought was unheard of for anime.
@FountainCartoon I’ve always found the clone wars style repulsive, but it was more forgivable back when all tv cg cartoons looked like mud. But for it to still look like this in the 2020s is unfortunate
@Ahmedmedhat000 They say AI was used for everything outside of key animation in which case I’m pretty surprised that AI can get such accurate inbetweens
@DannyAraya Same with hookups between shots. If the pose isn’t exactly the same it’ll be noted, whereas in live action shots cut with actors in different poses completely. Fun in vfx when cg and live action occupy the same space and the cg cuts perfectly while actor is completely different
@animetatakeda I really like this show. It’s interesting some episodes diverged from the model sheets so much though. Episode 2 looks completely different from episodes 1 and 3.
@Bestguyy@Inkora_Art Unfortunately it’s pretty much impossible to train a model on one persons work. It’s trained on millions/billions of images and then tuned towards a particular style by a smaller dataset. In this case 75 of this guys own works.
@shadesofsilver@MjTheHunter Mappa and their animators don’t share in the profit of this film. Even on movies where Mappa does get a share, like Chainsaw Man, the animators don’t see any extra from it. Rates are around $8-15 per hour depending on how fast they can draw
