New stream idea: Dragon Quest IX: Friendlocke-
Basically at every new town in the game I'm able to go back to Stornway and make a new party member, based on a character given to me by a friend or someone in chat. They can be as vague or detailed as they like!
@simmon_c3 Did they want to avoid the accidental misunderstanding of a connection between Silvermane and Silver Sable that Spectacular Spider-Man did? That’s like the only reason I can think of that they chose Hammerhead.
@paloma_datgirl Technically both- during the Drill sequence in ATLA we see both Katara and Toph control the ‘sludge’ produced by the drill- Katara controlling the water ànd Toph controlling the Earth.
@WKWhisperer It was specifically that concern which is why Cinder targeted her too. For whatever reason Cinder seems intent on hurting Jaune specifically by targeting people he cares about, rather than just killing him herself- the same thing happens in V9 during the Pathway Fight, too.
@WKWhisperer Weiss constantly referring to Jaune as attractive unintentionally is a great running gag.
Cute boys like tall blonde and scraggly over there.
Calling the Rusted Knight handsome
‘Mature’
@WKWhisperer From the moment we saw ‘Pyrrha’ sing Mirror, Mirror and that she was wearing a red version of Weiss’ Mistral attire I knew that there was something fascinating in her depiction in Weiss’ mindscape, and this really cemented that!
@AstoriaVt@percabcths__ That’s semi intentional- in the first movie, where that screengrab is from, Clarisse and Annabeth were essentially the same character NAMED Annabeth, she’s who Percy fought during Capture the flag, etc. In Sea of Monsters they were two seperate characters- both pictured (gifd?)
@WKWhisperer I like how her smile sorta flattens out when Neptune refers to Jaune as her ‘friend’, like she realizes then and there she may not have given him enough credit in the past.
It’s a good lead in to them being a bit more relaxed around each other later on in the show.
@joshscorcher One I kinda like doing is a character who was changed in their backstory- a Human possessed by a Spirit of Compassion is mechanically a Kalashtar to show that connection, an Elf or Half-Elf who was Feylost is an Eladrin, et cetera.
@WKWhisperer If Jaune were anywhere as bad a guy as some people think, he easily could have gone up to Weiss himself, seeing how upset she is and using that- instead he confronted the guy she WANTED to go to the dance with and chewed him out for upsetting her.
@RayOfFantasy I think a big part of it is that a lot of Pentious’ ‘villainy’ that we saw in the pilot and Season 1 was a reaction to being in the environment of Hell, essentially forcing him to act angrier and more aggressive as an intimidation display.
He doesn’t have to do that in Heaven.
@Snooz_E_Daytime Rice Shower loves apples, it’s one of her events that can trigger ‘Slow Metabolism’ that there’s some kind of festival that has lots of apple themed desserts. Can’t think of any others off the top of my head though.
@WKWhisperer Jaune’s Aura just *refusing* to shatter basically through the entire show is comedically insane. Like we’ve never gotten actual numbers but his Aura must be far beyond everyone else’s to an absurd degree.
@Barak_Io@WKWhisperer Another comparable moment is when Jaune and Pyrrha are facing the Deathstalker during Initiation- Pyrrha deflects the pincher with a glancing blow but Jaune tanks it full force.

@WKWhisperer It’s great because Weiss really giggles only twice in the entire series- both of which are in regards to Jaune. This sequence here, and the final scene of Volume 9 where Jaune realizes what his voice sounds like.
Post Beacon Weiss finds his dorkiness endearing it seems.
