The CDA Committee of Lunga-Lunga & Base Titanium have finalized the construction of a Cattle dip in Bwiti, Lunga-Lunga Sub-County.
The plunge dip will help livestock farmers improve animal husbandry and protect livestock from external parasites such as lice, flea and ticks.
The projects include:
• Constr., of a 6m high water tower at Wasaa
• Constr., of 5 water kiosks & installation of pipelines at Bwiti
• Constr., of 3 water kiosks & installation of pipelines at Kiruku
• Constr., of a water tower, 3 water kiosks & pipelines at Makorokoroni
Extending piped water to residents of Lunga Lunga Sub-County.
Lunga Lunga CDA Committee and Base Titanium have finalized the construction of four water projects that will improve access to clean and safe water in the area.
The CDA Committee of Lunga Lunga affiliated to Base Titanium has handed over an Early Childhood Development Centre (ECD) to the management of Chigombero primary school following completion of the project.
Project by Base Titanium & Likoni CDA Committee;
Construction of a kitchen and dining hall at Mtongwe Primary School.
Current status: Almost done. Finalising minor works before the project is officially handed over to the school.

The CDA Committee of Msambweni has finalised the construction of a girls dormitory at Kiranga Secondary School.
The construction of the dorm has enabled students who used to rent in the neighbouring villages to board at the school. The dorm can accommodate 150 students.
Current water projects being undertaken:
• Drilling of a borehole at Mwamae village
• Construction of a 6m water tower at Wasaa
• Construction of 5 water kiosks & distribution pipeline at Bwiti
• Construction of a water tower, 3 water kiosks & a pipeline at Makorokoroni
Helping the community access clean and safe water:
The CDA Commitees together with Base Titanium are working on improving the reliability of water supply by drilling new boreholes & rehabilitating dilapidated ones to ensure that the community have safe water for their daily use.
Msambweni CDAC and Base Titanium have launched an Economic Empowerment Fund aimed at financing start-ups & small enterprises in Kwale County.
The kitty targets youth, women & persons with disability & will be utilized to fund working capital through grants & interest free loans.
