Mark Carney since the election:
✅Axe the tax
✅Fast track pipelines
✅Cave to Trump
✅Unconditional support for Israel
✅Cut public service jobs
✅Defund the CBC
✅End safe supply
All the strategic voters gave us Pierre Poilievre anyway?
It’s been 4 months!
NEW: Canada has remained silent as the Americans continue to throw the World Cup into chaos through visa denials, delays and revocations.
Earlier this year, Canada denied entry to Iranian and Palestinian football officials ahead of the pre-tournament congress in Vancouver.

@ChadRobs We badly need a new leader first. That 13% could be the Green Party if a certain someone would stop putting her thumb on the scale and let us have a real leadership race.
At this rate, we’re two weeks away from Pierre Poilievre crossing the floor.
As I’ve been saying we were one decent NDP leader away from a massive realignment. Still a long road ahead, on which they will probably get in their own, but slowly trending that way.
This World Cup is already the biggest disaster in FIFA history, and the last host, who bought the hosting rights in a massive corruption scandal, killed a journalist in stadium built with slave labour.
So far at the 2026 FIFA Epstein Cup before a ball kicked:
- Senegal & Uzbekistan squads treated like criminals upon arrival given full cavity searches;
- Africa’s best referee sent back to Somalia despite having a diplomatic passport;
- Iraq team photographer sent back despite valid visa;
- AIPS (international sport journalist association) calling on FIFA to sort out unacceptable visa issues of African & Iranian journalists;
- 90% of Moroccan fans with tickets denied entry
- 14 members of Iran backroom staff denied visas
Not a word from Gianni ”today I feel black/gay/disabled etc” Infantino.
When the U.K. Foreign Office considered denying North Koreans visas to play at the 1966 World Cup, FIFA told the FA that they would immediately relocate the tournament.
That was when FIFA still had something remotely resembling a spine.
These are the people that should be receiving subsidies @susanholt. Not the Irvings.
Beef prices skyrocketing (I know I hardly buy anymore) and the 5th largest producer is going under?!?
Someone needs to look into the rest of the supply chain.

For the last World Cup, FIFA forced Qatar to changed their laws advertising and consumption alcoholic beverages. Not requiring that players, staff and officials be allowed to enter and stay in the host country for the duration of tournament is 100% a choice by FIFA.
"FIFA is not involved in host country immigration processes, including visa adjudications, and has been informed by authorities that Mr Artan’s status will not be changed at present. 2/3
Claudia Sheinbaum has approval ratings of between 70 and 80%, thanks to her progressive policies which have lifted over 8 million people out of poverty.
So of course the @NYTimes finds some reason to attack her.
They hate her because she shows what can be done.
It’s not really up to him. Ukraine lost the Donbas the day those referenda were announced. Rejecting that reality will only lead to more dead Ukrainian and Russian soldiers.
the Soviet Union had women cosmonauts and a legion of decorated antifascist war heroines the same year women in Canada were first "allowed" to open bank accounts without their husbands' written permission.
Carney losing his majority because he’s making the same mistakes Pierre did would be hilarious.
MPs will tolerate this as long as you’re winning, when they start dropping in the polls won’t be shocked to see some of them leave for the greener pastures of provincial politics.
Chantal Hébert on PM Carney's treatment of MPs: I'm not surprised that this is happening because I have a public quote from the PM who says, "I don't want to hear what people are against, we want to hear what they're for." I believe it's a defining quote.
Renaming the GST rebate the Groceries and Essentials Benefit while means testing the shit out of it to ensure the maximum amount of people get left behind is a good way to make people resent the poor.
Correction:
Corporations are freaking out because their desire for profiteering and having a lack of integrity is forcing them to give back $10 billion they think they earned by not paying people a living wage and they don’t want to take responsibility for it.
