At least seven people have died in the devastating floods that swept through Kampala early Wednesday morning, with police recovering multiple bodies across the city.

Among the victims is George Bogere, an employee of the U.S. Embassy in Kampala, who drowned in Kasangati while riding a motorcycle. His body was retrieved from the Lutete area alongside another unidentified male victim.

Authorities continue to assess the full impact of the flooding as search and recovery efforts remain underway.

I have sat in tens of job interview panels in the past year and I am seeing a worrying trend. The boy child is not showing up!!! The girl child comes in with all the fight in her and ends up winning the day. Super prepared and knowledgeable.
What is going on with the boy child? Are we as men relaxed or we go into interviews with an entitled mindset?

One of my proudest moments. Being flown to South Africa by my brother and kinsman Captain Japheth Okabo aka OJ and Captain Edema Aloysius. I thought I was the coolest Lango South of Karuma kumbe OJ Capt. Aloysius are flying planes. I might need to recalibrate my marking guide for coolest Lango!!

Capt Aloysius was the President’s pilot for over 15 years. Amazing men with great experience.

Btw it was always my dream to be a pilot and the nearest I came to this dream was when I was a turn boy on a fuso truck and my driver Katongole was called “pilot”. I was being primed to take over from Katongole. 🤣🤣
