A Home Affairs investigation has revealed scores of super cars being purchased by Nigerian nationals in South Africa, using fraudulent documents with Porsches being the car of choice. https://t.co/4kJb12cjZM
It seemed far fetched when I said that I was removed from the position of the head of Hawks in Gauteng when I was about to arrest a Nigerian drug dealer in December 2016. In that operation we arrested two of our own Hawks members in December 2016 who were conniving with the drug dealer. I was transferred to a ‘graveyard’ division in SAPS and began in January 2019.
Backed by unscrupulous media houses and NGOs, the dark forces within law enforcement had all along unleashed the IPID, the Office of the Judge of the DPCI, the NPA and internal disciplinary processes and concocted lie detector test. I was quite overwhelmed by the onslaught and my psychiatrist said that was too much to withstand I that I better leave, and so I resigned, and took early pension.
When officers like W/O Sanders, #GeneralMkhwanazi testify at the #MadlangaInquiry my heart melts because I know the script, I have experienced it. It is just interesting that the players and characters are somewhat connected.
The Border Management Authority has just achieved what is likely the single biggest breakthrough against the drug trade in South African history, by intercepting a consignment at Beitbridge valued at nearly R1 billion. (You read that right).
Yesterday, an intelligence-driven operation coordinated out of our National Targeting Centre identified a truck travelling through Zimbabwe to Beitbridge. Upon arrival, the BMA was ready and waiting for it. The truck was intercepted and examined through the sophisticated truck scanner on site, with a hidden compartment discovered. Working over 8 hours, the BMA patiently dismantled the truck until a substance was discovered that was confirmed to be methaqualone, also known as ABBA, commonly used in the manufacture of mandrax.
The Hawks and K9 units were called in, with 713 000 grams of the substance seized at an estimated value of R998 200 000. Just under R1 billion.
Three Malawian suspects were arrested and taken to the Musina Police Station, with the Hawks to conduct further investigations.
This historic breakthrough in the fight against smuggling and drugs vividly demonstrates that the combination of intelligence-led investigations, digital transformation, and the commitment of the BMA is systematically rebuilding the rule of law at our borders! 🇿🇦
It continues to bother me how government often waits until people resort to extremes, shutdowns or even violence before it responds or addresses issues . Communities write letters, submit memorandums, attend consultations, raise concerns through lawful channels and are met with silence, bureaucracy or indifference. Citizens are effectively blueticked by the state they fund through their taxes.
Then suddenly, once roads are burning, tyres are lit and cameras arrive, there is urgency, task teams and political visibility. It creates a dangerous lesson in society that says calm, reasoned engagement achieves very little, while chaos gets attention.
The only explanation for this behaviour is a growing culture of leadership that has become detached from the daily realities of ordinary people. A government that genuinely cares about its citizenry would not need to be cornered into listening. Responsiveness should not be activated by fear of embarrassment or instability. It should be the basic duty of public service.
@KhandaniM When Family Feud was in SA, Steve Harvey asked what you would need for a holiday, contestants reasonably guessed passport, hotel, etc. They were wrong. The survey said cooler box, sound system, and so on and so forth. Ngabona lapho ukuthi weeeh.
@zynnitta_true I know someone who got pregnant this way. Her family didn't believe she was still a virgin until a doctor confirmed it. She was around 24-25 at the time.
@BraThabzaa Had an uncle who was the first born, he used to call his younger brother to help discipline his sons. As a family, we treated the younger brother as the eldest.
@tanyajunghans I once took my family from Durban to Mandela's house in Vilakazi Street. My then 6 year old cousin asked me why white people hate us. Fortunately, his mother was there, I called her over and told her the baby had a question and walked away.
@Softnessa_ Someone asked me to be their partner, and I said no, he got his mom and my aunt to force me to go. I was so upset, I cut my hair and hardly spoke to him the whole night.
One need not look too far to conclude that Anele’s continued success as a BLACK WOMAN nogal, has become way too intolerable to some, hence this relentless effort to entangle her in a scandal that has absolutely nothing to do with her. @AdriaanBasson you take the crown for having stooped the LOWEST. To fellow blacks who are riding on this, no surprises there, you are so on brand. Instead of directing your anger to those implicated and cited on the judgment. You choose to distort the facts, insinuate Anele into this by opting for conjecture and suppositions as it feeds your innate jealousy and meanness. Anele will survive this and continue to soar. I doubt the same can be said about you.
And somehow Anele’s name is being dragged into this. Someone said I must stop being a fan when I pointed out that they were not even dating then and that they should leave Anele out of this.
I’m hearing more about Anele than Katlho and HER MOTHER who are directly linked.
