Wil and I did the STEJAY pose and showed it to Steven and JL. While we are waving to them, @/JMJL0421 did the job 🤟
Prior to this, Steven put his arm around JL’s shoulder when they were still on the right side of the stage.

🌳 This was one of more than 200 trees cut along Quirino Avenue for the Southern Access Link Expressway (SALEX) project - about 80 years old!
Took this photo from a post by the @CEC_Phils documenting today's faith-based environmental protest and the "Way of the Cross" procession for the trees.
Standing beside one of the massive stumps, it is estimated that this tree may have been around 80 years old based on its visible growth rings. That means this tree likely began growing in the 1940s or 1950s—long before many of us were born.
An 80-year-old tree is not simply "replaceable." It stored carbon, cooled our communities, sheltered wildlife, and stood witness to generations of Filipinos.
Every old tree felled is a reminder that development must not come at the expense of our remaining natural heritage.
🌱 A tree that took eight decades to grow can be cut down in minutes, but it cannot be replaced within our lifetime.
We join the call to protect the remaining trees and to pursue development that respects people, biodiversity, and future generations.
