Today’s painting, of course, had to be a David Hockney. ‘Portrait of Nick Wilder’ - acrylic on canvas, 1966, shows his friend & neighbour serenely immersed in the sparkling waters of a Hollywood apartment pool, capturing the bright, tranquil, and distinctly Californian vibe.
