Fab Forest School Experience!
We had great fun making dens and playing the 'tree' game this afternoon. The shade from the trees was most welcome!

Cedar and half of Oak Class have had an incredible morning making volcanoes. We had plenty of 'Papier Mache' at the ready! We also had great fun playing some team games whilst they dried.

RE Art Competition
All the pieces have been brilliant and the standard of work has been amazing! It was a tough job to select the finalist pieces but here they are...

This week Cedar Class have been learning to solve word problems involving fractions. At the start of the lessons some pupils were brave enough to answer, prove and explain! (The APE approach) Well done!

We are all so proud of all our work. Well done Cedar. Tony Hart would be so pleased! Sit back and enjoy!

Today Cedar Class learned about the Fibonacci pattern. We looked at the number sequence and drew a pattern to represent it. We found lots of things in nature on our hunt around the school grounds!

Today we looked in detail at some of the work Marten Jansen, 1964, has completed in the Abstract Expressionism style. Our pastel work was completed and some people chose to use water colours. Brilliant! @RackhamPrimary #RackhamArtScienceMathsWeek
Today, Cedar Class finished their self portraits in pencil.
Bold pastels, in the style of the Expressionist Artist Alexei Jawlensky 1864, were then used to colour them.

After viewing a video about the artist Sonia Delaunay we were inspired to use similar techniques to decorate our own cube pieces. These will look stunning as part of the whole school display! @RackhamPrimary #RackhamArtScienceMathsWeek
Cedar Class enjoyed Mrs Boyden's assembly today about inclusion and discrimination. The scenario about the children and the bus generated great discussion! "Be kind, be caring, be inclusive, be fair, be responsible = be happy!" @RackhamPrimary
