Shooting at the Harim Mall parking lot in Gush Etzion

On July 10, 2025, at 14:23, IDT (UTC +3), two terrorists arrived at the Harim Mall parking lot in Gush Etzion and ambushed a security guard. Both perpetrators were killed by civilians and security forces responded to the scene. The security guard was pronounced deceased on scene.

The perpetrators were both Palestinian Authority police officers. Mahmoud Abed was from Halhul and Malek Salem was from Tulkarm. Malek Salem also trained for three months at the military college in Qatar. The two perpetrators had arrived in a stolen blue car with a yellow license plate. The two terrorists were armed with firearms and knives. Security sources surmised that the terrorists chose this location and this time as they knew it would be busy. They waited in the vehicle and then attacked the security guard. The security guard was stabbed and then had his weapon stolen. The security guard was then shot. The attackers then used the firearm to fire upon civilians. They were then engaged by civilians and were neutralized.

Roadblocks were set up by the IDF at the entrances to Hebron and Bethlehem. They also surrounded Halhul to search for any more suspects. A witness stated after the incident that Palestinian vehicles do not enter that area and civilians are checked one by one at the entrance. The witness did not know how they entered. Israeli security sources said that the Palestinian security apparatus advised them they raised their alert levels across sectors in order to check for any additional rogue elements within their ranks so they could prevent similar attacks in the days following the incident.

Abu Obaida of Hamas’ Al-Qassam Brigades responded to the incident by congratulating the terrorists for their “heroic operations from Hebron to Jenin, confronting Israeli forces and settler groups”. Obaida said that their motive was retaliation against the “growing assault on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the escalation of crimes by the occupation forces and settlers. He additionally called for further escalation and attacks against security forces and civilians.

NEW: An Iranian-directed spy built explosives in Haifa and planned a bus bombing.

Gaidarov, 22, ran a makeshift lab in 2 apartments in the same building, producing TATP (highly unstable explosive compound) daily, sometimes hundreds of grams per batch, accumulating about 10 kg.

According to the charges, he knew the explosives were intended for attacks, including against public figures and crowded civilian locations such as bus stops.

In 1 test, he and an accomplice detonated an improvised device in an underground parking lot, filmed the blast, and fled due to the force of the explosion.

Stabbing in Herzliya

On December 27, 2024, around 12:13 IST (UTC +2) a terrorist stabbed a woman approximately 11 times in Herzliya. The perpetrator called out “Allah is great” and prayed in Arabic while committing the attack. Security guards in the area shot the attacker who was arrested upon arrival of the police. The woman was transported to Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.

Two days before the attack, the perpetrator purchased a long kitchen knife. The following day, he spent time in Herzliya selecting a location for the attack. On the day of the attack, he armed himself with the kitchen knife and an additional knife before returning to the attack location to commit the attack.

The perpetrator, Ibrahim Shalhoub from Tulkarm, was previously an informant for Shin Bet until his identity was compromised. He had been involved in providing intelligence and assisting in counterterrorism operations. Shin Bet allowed the perpetrator’s move to Israel after his identity was exposed. After he moved to Israel his family severed ties with him and then he carried out the attack. An indictment was filed against the perpetrator, by the State Attorney’s Office, on terrorism charges for the murder. He faces life in prison if convicted.

Ramming and Attempted Stabbing on Highway 65

On February 27, 2025, at 16:15 IST (UTC +2), a terrorist veered off Highway 65 near Gan HaShomron and rammed his car into a bus stop with civilians near the intersection of Pardes Hanna-Karkur. He then crashed into a police car, exited the vehicle with a screwdriver, and attempted to stab police officers. The police subsequently neutralized him. Magen David Adom transported the injured to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera. The perpetrator, from the Jenin area, had been living illegally in Ma’ale Iron with his Arab Israeli wife from the Umm al-Fahm area.

Shooting near the Ariel Industrial Zone

On March 12, 2025, around 20:42 IST (UTC +2) a civilian was shot while they were driving on a road near Shuval farm, near the Ariel industrial zone. The perpetrator used a laser to temporarily blind the driver before opening fire on them. Police, detectives, crime scene investigators, the IDF, and Shin Bet responded to the scene. The scene was secured, roadblocks were setup, and a manhunt began for the attacker which included the use of a helicopter and a drone. Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah also responded to the scene and treated the civilian who was then transported to the Rabin Medical Center. The attacker has not been identified.

Shooting in al-Funduq

On January 6, 2025, at 09:13 IST (UTC +2) three terrorists discharged their firearms striking vehicles and civilians in al-Funduq. The terrorists then fled the area. Three civilians were pronounced deceased, and eight civilians were injured. Injured civilians were transferred to the Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Campus and the Meir Medical Center for treatment. The terror group called Galilee Forces – Lone Wolves claimed responsibility for the attack. The group also published a video that they used for teaching about the preparation and training for the attack.

Two of the terrorists were neutralized in the Wadi Burqin area near Jenin amid a counterterrorism operation in the area. Per the IDF members of the Duvdevan unit, Shin Bet agents, and other soldiers surrounded a building in Wadi Burqin where the perpetrators were. The two perpetrators were neutralized following an exchange of gunfire. The third perpetrator has not been identified at this time.

The IDF and Shin Bet stated that the perpetrators were members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. However, Hamas also claimed responsibility for the attack. It remains unclear if Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, or the Galilee Forces – Lone Wolves is responsible for the attack.

Stabbing Attack at the Lev Hamifratz Central Bus Station

On March 3, 2025, at 09:50 IST (UTC+2), a terrorist carried out an attack at the Lev Hamifratz Central Bus Station in Haifa. The perpetrator exited a bus, began shouting “Allahu Akbar,” and then started stabbing civilians around him. He was subsequently neutralized by security personnel and an armed civilian. One civilian was pronounced dead at the scene, and four civilians were injured; all injured individuals were transferred to Rambam Health Care Campus for treatment.

The perpetrator was from Shefa-Amr, held German citizenship, and was a member of the Druze community. He had lived abroad for several months and recently returned to Israel. Both Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad praised the attack.

A man has been arrested from this incident by Tiberias Police. After the attack he fled on foot and then by taxi. Officers tracked his escape route which led to his arrest the following day on February 20, 2025. The investigation showed that the suspect and the victim previously knew each other.

Shooting at the az-Za’ayyem checkpoint.

On February 22, 2024, around 07:49 IST (UTC +2) three terrorists discharged firearms on Israeli civilians during a traffic jam of vehicles coming from Ma’ale Adumim at the az-Za’ayyem checkpoint. The attackers fired into Israeli civilian vehicles which were on Highway 1 near the checkpoint. Two of the attackers who began shooting were neutralized by security forces and armed civilians at the initial scene. The third attacker tried to escape and was neutralized following a search of the area by police.

The victims were taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center and Hadassah Medical Center. There was one Israeli civilian fatality and 11 Israeli civilian injuries. Hamas issued a statement praising the attack as a natural response to the war in Gaza.
