@NewZimbabweCom There will never progress until the bush terrorists, so called “liberators” are on the dust bin of history- joining all the other Marxist pan African failures
@JaneMichael62 Tax on cigarettes has turned the industry into the hands of criminal gangs. Cut the never ending sin tax and you’ll get more tax from the corporations
TAGWIREI'S SON'S WEDDING GIFTS : A PARADE OF PUBLIC PAIN : EVERY DONATION, CLINICS UNBUILT, MEDICINES UNBOUGHT & PENSIONS UNPAID
BY RTD DIO SHEPHERD MPESWE
This video is not just a display of wealth but it is a window into how Zimbabwe’s national resources are being captured and redistributed among a privileged few.
The staggering sums being handed out, hundreds of thousands of US dollars, vehicles, land and multimillion-dollar gifts, are not the product of transparent enterprise or broad-based economic growth.
Let us be clear, this money does not come from innovation, industry or transparent business. It comes from access, access to gold, fuel, foreign currency and inflated state tenders. It is wealth extracted from public resources and recycled within a tight political and business elite.
Every dollar paraded here tells a deeper story. These are the clinics not built, the medicines not procured, the pensions not paid and the opportunities denied to millions of Zimbabweans.
Such opulence is not merely insensitive but it is a stark indictment of a governance system that prioritizes patronage over public welfare. This is not just a wedding but it is a portrait of a captured state.
Every “gift” is a reminder of schools underfunded, nurses underpaid and communities abandoned.
This is exactly why Zimbabwe remains poor despite its vast resources.
Zimbabweans are not poor but Zimbabwe is being looted in broad daylight, without shame, and now, without even the decency to hide it.
