Social media is a battleground to secure recruits and donor dollars.
Athletic departments are going all-in on in-house studios and content operations to win.

Social media used to be an afterthought for schools. Now, they have full-blown production studios and creative teams.
College athletic departments are now spending millions to win over recruits, donors, and fans through content.

I disagree. I think Hawaiian shirts are stupid on tv when you could be wearing gear to support the school and team.
And that’s just an opinion. And one that doesn’t matter.
@HLfanMatt You know promotion are also theme nights as well now. It's no different than at other school. Maybe in the past before i got into the sports industry but that's not the case always anymore. Fans following the theme to me is more impressive than everyone wearing just one color.
@HLfanMatt Well our game had a theme promotion. I see you keep harping on this topic but I'm confused because this promotion or theme games was announced and plan before any game was announced on ESPN. We pack the place the energy was great. I just don't get your point to all this.
Our athletics staff can get out and be athletes too😉
Big thanks to coach @chris_stelma and the @OaklandSoftball staff for putting together an end-of-the-summer staff softball game! 🥎
