Note to new streamers…
I have been doing this a long time and it takes hard work.
It’s super rude to come into someone’s chat and take advantage of what we have built up, for no other reason but personal gain.
Most streamers will ban you straight up. And that’s super valid because that’s their space and community that they work hard to maintain.
Instead;
✨ make genuine connections
✨ be involved in communities
✨ make friends
✨ raid/host communities that you are a part of
✨ make content for other platforms
✨ stop worrying about hitting the SAME like rate etc with everything you do and focus on hitting NEW audiences everyday (1 person counts!)
✨ make valuable content with attention grabbing hooks
✨ what makes you different to every other streamer just playing games?
To grow on any platform, you have to be active on that platform in multiple ways and be consistent.
Simples 🥰
Someone last night in chat:
*follows* ‘FOLLOW4FOLLOW? I play fortnite blah blah (more about their stream)
Me: *uber nice about why that doesn’t work and gives advice on how to grow your channel and asks them to stop*
Them: oh wow ok sorry thank you
Them later: Anyway just finished my stream, bye bye
Like what? 🤨
As a Streamer:
- We do NOT owe you anything
- We cannot read EVERY chat
- We do not need to watch your clip
- We do NOT need to answer your DMs
- We do NOT need to play with you.
- We do NOT have to listen to your requests
- We are NOT your friend.
