To close out Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness month, our team came together for the 2026 PFF Walk, joining the community to raise awareness and funds for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.

For us, the #PFFWalk is more than a shared experience. It reflects our collaborative, holistic approach to developing treatments that better meet the needs of people living with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (#IPF) and other fibrotic diseases. At Celea, we bring together scientific rigor, patient experience, clinical perspectives, and an understanding of the real-world challenges presented by IPF to inform how we develop medicines.

We’re grateful to our team for walking together and supporting a new future for people with IPF. Our passion for the mission is what brings us together and keeps us moving forward.

We’re presenting two posters focused on the development of deupirfenidone in IPF.

Our Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs, Camilla Graham, MD, MPH is also taking part in several discussions exploring critical questions facing the field.

We’re excited to connect with colleagues across the IPF community and explore how clinical development can continue to evolve for people living with pulmonary fibrosis.

Did you know that most people living with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) remain untreated?

For Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness month, we are spotlighting this progressive lung disease, characterized by irreversible scarring and a steady loss of lung function.

With a median survival of just 2-5 years after diagnosis, IPF carries a prognosis comparable to many cancers. Yet, despite the severity of the disease, only a minority of patients initiate treatment. Existing therapies can slow, but do not stop, disease progression, and their efficacy may not outweigh the burden of chronic side effects for many patients.

This year’s theme, “Today, not someday,” is a powerful reminder of the urgent need for more effective treatment options that can meaningfully change the course of IPF.

Earlier this month, our team joined the respiratory community at the European Respiratory Society Congress (#ERS2026) in Barcelona, Spain.

We shared the design and rationale for SURPASS-IPF, the first industry-sponsored head-to-head Phase 3 trial in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (#IPF), as well as results from a Phase 1 drug-drug interaction study evaluating co-administration of deupirfenidone and nintedanib.
