@feralAM_@amalahourly Agree also think the lyrics were an issue if you don’t understand the terms. It’s got sing a long energy but not with words that made any sense to general public. Even tho PTTR lyrics were quirky they were fun to say and you know it was a f— the haters song
@amalahourly My personal theory: The lyrics/message of the song were hard to understand for the general public - the music video literally looked like a beauty commercial, when it was released I genuinely thought it was for MAC and not a proper single.
@erion_jordan The real crime being she tried to crawl back with mediocre pop working with Jack Antonoff only for “Jealous Type” to become a failed cash-grab. The Scarlet era was not a flop she was on to a good thing and should have stuck with it
