I’m just really getting deep into this Mirabel case, and I’m honestly confused by the reaction online.
If someone comes out and says they were assaulted, why do so many men immediately take it as a personal attack? If you’re not the person being accused, why are you triggered by the conversation around assault and accountability? Yes, if someone lies, that is wrong and should be addressed. But why does the conversation always shift so fast from supporting victims to attacking the idea that assault even happens?
We live in a country where terrible crimes happen every day, assault, kidnapping, violence, yet when it’s time to hold perpetrators accountable, the internet suddenly becomes defensive or dismissive.
What’s even more disturbing is how sometimes actual abuse gets normalized or joked about, while consensual adults doing their own thing gets more outrage than real harm.
If you’re not guilty, conversations about assault shouldn’t feel like an attack. They should feel like a push for a safer society for everyone.

Looking back, it’s wild how I marketed that service even though I didn’t know nearly as much as I do now. @_littlehuman_ I did a pre move out. I asked for permission to move to my friends house cause it was closer to work. They refused, I moved either way. All hell broke loose, then acceptance followed. I moved back in with them then did the main move out after a year. They can’t be dramatic twice
