Sean Duffy says he "just redirected $1.73 billion."
He didn't. This grant program hands out money every single year — it has since 2009, under Obama, Trump, and Biden.
All Duffy did was announce this year's winners, same as every Transportation Secretary before him. Then he called it a revolution.
Most of the money going to roads and bridges? Also true every year under Buttigieg.
What Duffy actually did was cancel projects already signed and promised — sidewalks, crosswalks, safe routes for kids to bike to school — in Alabama, New Mexico, Connecticut. His staff found them by searching documents for the word "bike."
And the $1.73 billion he's bragging about? Congress approved it in the 2021 infrastructure law. Signed by Joe Biden.
He's the mailman taking credit for your paycheck.
Remember when the MAGAbilly party made the rich richer at the expense of working Americans?
Or when they protected pedophiles?
Or when they tried to undermine our rights?
It’s not happening in the past tense — it’s happening NOW.
Stuffy Duffy is not a smart guy. He’s just another member of the pack of animals abusing others for political and monetary gain.
🌊VOTE. BLUE.
@SecDuffy You're lying through your teeth, Sean!
Your boss Trump still can't get over the fact that Biden was able to get the $1.5 trillion bipartisan Infrastructure bill passed and Ol' Donnie couldn't stop it or get one passed on his own!
So his only option is to ruin it, right?
Sad!
@SecDuffy WTF is a DEI bike lane?
At least put a little effort into the bullshit you feed people.
Sprinkling a little racism in on roadwork is lazy as hell
@SecDuffy The Trump Administration is the most incompetent group of fools to ever run our country. The rot from the top spreads through every corridor and the halls of government.
Sean, explain to everyone how a bike lane is “DEI.” Go ahead. Walk us through it. A bike lane is transportation infrastructure. People of every race, sex, religion, and political party use bike lanes. Slapping the letters “DEI” on something doesn’t magically change what it is.
The Biden administration passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, a roughly $1.2 trillion infrastructure law with about $550 billion in new federal infrastructure spending, the largest investment in decades. It funded roads, bridges, ports, airports, rail, broadband, water systems, and other critical infrastructure projects in every single state.
It was such a success that Republicans who voted against it couldn’t wait to hold ribbon cuttings and take credit for projects funded by the very law they opposed. The photos and press releases are still out there.
So spare us the propaganda. If you’re canceling a transportation project, call it that. Don’t insult everyone’s intelligence by pretending a bike lane is some kind of “DEI pet project.” Roads, bridges, ports, sidewalks, trails, and bike lanes are all transportation infrastructure. You either support improving transportation or you don’t.
@SamStoneHere@AriTHFC You people make me sick. All of you are acting like grade school children with your ridiculous comments. Just goes to show that you and your man are poor losers.
@JessicaArt74033 Hell no. He just started a war that he cannot get out of. Besides, people who receive the NOBEL are educated and have character & class.
