15-Minute #Meditation on Psalm 126
You Are #BLESSED
Take a moment to breathe, make space, and learn a Song of the Stairway, or a Song to sing while on your way home.

"I know your ❤️feels fragile and torn
Maybe it’s been beaten up and crumpled like trash
But that fluttering ❤️in your chest–
God made that
The Lord created that space in the center
Of who you are
It’s where He wants to live"

"Maybe you’ve just been going nonstop without a real break
You imagine what it would be like to take a break
And it scares you because what would happen to
Everything and everyone else"

One of my final interview feature articles for Seven Ponds. I'm so grateful to all the experts in grief who allowed me to interview them.

Watching Singing in the Rain for the first time with my baby. She’s seen it before but doesn’t remember it. She’s watching Don speak over Lina and asks, “Does she talk?” I told her to wait one more minute. Then Lina starts yelling backstage, and Rori says, “Oh, snap!” 😂
I'd never been to Niagara Falls until last month. I decided to change that, and we took a 6.5 hour road trip. We had a complete and total blast!
Making my ceiling her floor is one of my favorite parts of being a parent.
Two days of school this week. One day of students next week. One staff day after. Then summer, which is glorious.
But.
I've been saying that I need to get on my manuscript for MONTHS while I was finishing up my supervisor certification.
And.
The time has now come to write 😲
One of my students told me today that I’m in my Soft Girl Era, and she thinks I’ve probably been in my Soft Girl Era for my whole life. She assures me it’s having a moment, but that I’ll probably stay in it forever, so you know. 🤷🏻♀️
Repping @philastories in my classroom today ✍🏼
We’re always open for submissions! Send me your best CNF under 2,500 words.
(12 school days left for us in Jersey. 12 days between us and glorious summer.)
@TVGoodFireBad@zunguzungu Not an expert on the show, but certainly an expert on the subject. The abusers have to give you crumbs every once in a while to keep you hopeful that one day they’ll give you a whole plate. They never will, but the crumbs keep you close enough to pick them off the floor.
My daughter watched Holes for the first time.
After realizing they were going to kill Sam, she asked if we could watch an episode of Psych so she could see if Gus was still there 🥹.

My daughter & I finally made it to the last season of Sister Sister. She’s heartbroken that Roger is gone. Seeing a young Rachael Harris is a trip. All her body language was already there in 1998.
I wish my daughter was old enough to live tweet her first view of The Really Loud House. She’s got A LOT of opinions on how well they did (or did not do) with casting the actors to look like their cartoon counterparts.
During Lent, I was able to interview Steffani Zavala of @RndmActsOfFlwrs and write about how the company shares love through the healing power of flowers

My 7yo is so into #SisterSister. Today, she said something, & I said, “Who said that?” She said, “Oh Lisa.”
I had to think for a while. Then I said, “You mean Lisa from Sister, Sister?”
She thinks @JackeeHarry is the funniest woman alive ❤️
Watching Sister, Sister with my 7yo.
Roger: Whenever my dad is upset, he looks at me all hurt then gets in his car and drives away. I sure hope he comes back soon.
Audience laughs
7yo: He’s probably away on business.
(There’s a backstory for this answer, but it was so funny)
Did anyone talk about the UP montage with Rumple & Belle in the final season of Once Upon a Time when it first aired? My daughter & I are six years late 😧
