@nucleolus21 “Only useful in supporting plant cells” huh? And who supports animals when in need of sustenance, nutrients, and oxygen. If my protective barrier wasn’t outside the plasma membrane of a plant cell, plants wouldn't be able to stand tall enough for photosynthesis.
@Endoplasm1cR Funny enough if the smooth or rough ER is damaged it can lead to cell death due to lack of proteins! At least I only affect plants and fungi 🙄 @murphyapbio#twins
@nucleolus21@murphyapbio And I am able to keep you safe in plants and fungi! Without me your entire cell could burst if it was immersed in a hypertonic solution ( #YoureWelcome )
@Cytoskelly That’s very true I am a layer...of PROTECTION from stressors and a barrier to substances that could harm all of us. You may run through the cytoplasm of a plant cell but I am what keeps it alive.@murphyapbio
