I have noticed some people probably do not know they can claim eth so please check the leaderboards, some people have 0.25 eth to claim it seems

Any cell can be clicked upon and you can see the eth banked meaning how much eth he made or claimed. You can also verify all ETH directly stays in the contract until claimed.

No involvement by anyone or anything.
