Good news for Celtic: Alistair Johnston does have another 3 years left on his Celtic contract. This means Celtic can keep him for the next 1-2 seasons and then sell him for big money in a future transfer window. A lot of it will come down to whether AJ wants to stay or not.

Celtic's transfer window is gathering pace!

The Hoops are closing in on Mika Baur from SC Paderborn, while interest remains strong in Haïssem Hassan of Real Oviedo. Celtic are also being linked with goalkeeper Horkas of Las Palmas and versatile attacker Matteo Cancellieri from Lazio.

Assuming Engels and Johnston leave this window, this could be Celtic’s potential starting team in late 2026. This team gets me excited🤩🤩 And we could still have some quality options on the bench such as Osmand, Baur, Ox, Scales and Yang.

Reo Hatate has reportedly handed in an official transfer request at Celtic. Personally, I think it is time to go for Hatate. On his day, Reo was a fantastic player but I think his time is up at Celtic.

I’m becoming increasingly worried about the lack of news regarding Celtic’s negotiations in both the Mika Baur and Haissem Hassan deals. And on top of all that, Celtic still desperately need a left-back and a centre-back at a bare minimum.

@greyclouds1970 Yes there are definitely some question marks over his stats but I think Celtic need to start pushing the boat out more with some big signings and this would be a good move alongside Høgh and Duran.

@CelticNoah Yes you’re right, mate. It’s going to be difficult to bring in all the players we need before the end of the window. If you look at everything, I think we actually need 7 signings. Which I can’t see happening, unfortunately. But you never know.
