Wow, this is huge. Tesla is introducing a new active safety feature called Automatic Collision Evasion.
We know Full Self-Driving is great at avoiding accidents, but that's only when it's on. This new feature, when enabled, will allow the vehicle to enable FSD itself when necessary to avoid a collision.
Now, instead of just applying Automatic Emergency Braking to stop the vehicle, the vehicle will be able to steer to avoid a crash as well. Great to see.
Interestingly, the accelerator pedal, brake pedal, and steering will be muted while the evasive maneuver is in progress.
Not a Tesla App reports that the feature will only be available to users who paid for FSD. Not sure if that's true, but if it is I would encourage Tesla to make it available to all Tesla owners if possible. Safety at Tesla always comes standard, not behind a paywall.
THIS WEBSITE LETS YOU SIT IN THE WINDOW SEAT OF ANY PLANE FLYING OVER YOUR HOUSE RIGHT NOW.
no download. no app. no account.
you open the tab and you are in the sky.
it's called Stowaway. https://t.co/WFCxwmTfQi.
it finds your location. pulls every plane and satellite passing over you right now. click one. hit "Stow away" and you are in the window seat. real terrain. real weather. real light for this exact minute.
the guy who made it, jheising, said on Hacker News he built it because as a kid he would watch planes cross the evening sky and try to imagine what the world looked like from up there. Stowaway is that, without the airport.
441 points on Hacker News. people are not bookmarking it. they are flying in it.
just a website that lets a normal person see Earth from a stranger's window seat for a few minutes.
we built the internet and somehow one of the best things on it right now is still:
open tab.
sit in a stranger's plane.
watch the sunset from 35,000 feet.
Grok can now handle more than 100 Tesla functions completely hands-free.
Tesla owner @LifeMiddie tested 170 voice commands, and Grok successfully handled 116 of them simply by saying “Hey Grok”

We got 4 of these fake beer filled pins as samples. We’re not gonna make them so these are rare. I’m keeping 1 giving the other 3 away. RT for a chance to win will draw Monday AM :)
Hey @tesla can we have the option to select from two work locations when using FSD? I work on a large campus and chargers are on one side and my normal parking is on the other. I don’t charge everyday.
@VivekGRamaswamy How about making some of these huge corporations pay their employees more? Banks and pharmaceutical companies are making billions and their long standing employees are seeing very low increase if any.
