Late to post this, but big shout out to my boys for winning their quarterfinal game of their summer league! They beat Belton 6-3 on Wednesday to advance to the semifinal! They will play either @RaytownSchools or @HHSWildcat1! If they win, they play for the championship!

@VinceConchola Tonight’s game is at 4pm at Urban Youth Academy (17th and Paseo). Tomorrow’s game will depend on tonight’s result. With a win, we will play at 11 am at UYA, but with a loss, we will play at 1:30

Innings and allowed ZERO hits while striking out 9!

Offensively, we struggled a little bit, but were patient and drew a ton of walks! Big hits by Carlon Jennings and Rodney “Boo” Cheadle got the ball rolling for us!

Our next contest is tonight against UA at UYA starting at 6:30

Last night, the Yellowjackets took on the Blue Eagles of Central in extremely wet conditions. The Yellowjackets persevered and got their first win of the season 16-2! Leading the way for the Yellowjackets success was Reece Damiano! Reece was the starting pitcher and pitched all 3

It is always shocking to me the people that value summer sports over school sports. HS sports replicate college sports/real life more than anything else young people do.

Summer has so many competing interests/agendas.

Winners win in the actual season. Be good when it matters.
