Natural gas service update for our customers in Plymouth:
CenterPoint Energy is committed to the safety of the natural gas customers and communities we are privileged to serve throughout Minnesota.
CenterPoint is aware of a natural gas line that was struck earlier today by a third-party contractor unrelated to the company near 47th Avenue North and Underwood Lane North in Plymouth.
CenterPoint wants to assure customers and the local community that we are actively working to repair the affected natural gas pipeline safely and as quickly as possible. We currently expect that approximately 110 customers will experience an outage, with service anticipated to be restored to affected customers this evening.
Safety is CenterPoint’s core value, and the company works to keep safety at the forefront during all repairs. As a reminder, if anyone smells natural gas, they should leave their location immediately on foot. Once safely away from the area, report the possible natural gas leak to 911 and to CenterPoint at 800-296-9815.

Regional collaboration is driving smarter energy use in Minnesota.
Working alongside @Metropolitan Council Environmental Services and @Synagro, a new project at the Blue Lake facility is harnessing renewable biogas produced during wastewater processing to support plant operations.
The result is more than $160,000 in annual savings and reducing emissions made possible through collaboration and energy efficiency rebates offered from CenterPoint.
