@jacobinfante24 He’s developed very nicely. We have a quality backup guard in McFadden and Newman. Sadly can’t say the same with Benedet so here’s to hoping we draft one in case Trapilo can’t be ready by next season
@c00kie_burns@TFG_Football Totally agree. In the case of Vrabel, it definitely worked out. He got the OC right and has a complete team. It’s difficult to hit those with a fresh first-time HC. I guess I just prefer it because when it works, you have a coach for years
@gaross18 Agreed! We need to get rid of our current DL coach. Ben did a great job assembling his coaching staff, but never really understood our current DL coach…
@dabearsblog The first official hire from the Ben Johnson tree. Yeah I know he was with KC before for a bit, but when nobody else wanted him last season, Ben gave him a shot and he excelled. So now, he’s from the Ben Johnson tree IMO
If the Bears AREN’T hated, I’d assume the season wasn’t a success. But we currently ARE the most hated team because we put the league on-notice that we have our head coach and quarterback for the next decade #DaBears
QB Performances, Divisional Round
1. Caleb Williams
2. Bo Nix
3. Sam Darnold
4. Josh Allen
5. Brock Purdy: 4.24s average time to throw (!!)
6. Matthew Stafford
7. CJ Stroud
8. Drake Maye
Not the kind of showing you expect from the two MVP favorites.
@RichEisenShow@richeisen Thank you Rich! It feels great to see all the media talking so great of the Bears. We have our head coach and our quarterback. Year 1 in a new (and complicated) offense is officially complete. I cannot wait to see the growth from year 1 to year 2 🐻⬇️
@jasrifootball @davebfr Yessir. You saw Drew Dalman do this last season. I think it was the 49ers that were rumored to offer more money but he chose Bears. It worked out for him and for Bears (he’s now a pro bowler). I wouldn’t be surprised if more FAs follow this same formula as Dalman has.
@davebfr I’ve always seen it as they’re more jealous. Look at the talent we have at QB. Their QB isn’t bad by any means, but we have a guy that’s got mixed talent from all the great QBs in the NFL. This is great for the rivalry though, I just think the Bears have the advantage!
@downbadbears I’m so proud of these guys too! We haven’t had anything like this recently and it’s only going to get better. Caleb & Ben in year 2 is going to hit hard. DA gets to pick his defensive players and we’re in full force of a full post-season shot for it all 🐻⬇️
@ImBearingDown A-
The dude needs to learn to kick field goals. I get he wants to be aggressive, but this is YEAR 1. You can get aggressive when your QB isn’t in year 1 learning a new (and complicated) offense. That being said, I’m VERY encouraged and happy with him. We got our coach!
@BearsNationCHI Keep:
- Byard
- Duvernay
- Keenum (I’m in the minority as to keeping a vet 1 more year to help Caleb’s development)
Rest can all walk unless Brisker wants to sign a team-friendly deal in which case I’d be open.
