Prompt 4: Fears either paralyze us or propel us. Start thinking about one of your fears.
Failure? Heights? The unknown? Wasps? Political injustice?
Now, use that fear as a starting point for the theme of your poem, the topic of your essay, or development of your characters.

Prompt 2: Unsolved mysteries are always so riveting and puzzling, but there are never any answers. Pick an unsolved mystery, and write your own version of its events. Make it suspenseful; make it scarily realistic. Make it however you want—that’s the joy of writing!

Prompt 1: Roll two six-sided dice. Whatever number comes up, write down the first word you can think of with that many letters. Repeat 4-6 times. Incorporate these words into a story or poem or argumentative essay and see where it takes you.
