RAFIDISON Jean Chry has lived in Ranomafana since 1974. He was a football player in Ranomafana from
1984 to 2006.
Jean Chry began working as a guide from 1988 to 1996.

RAVONIMBOAHIRANTSOA Marie Antonine "Voahirana" is a tourist guide in Ranomafana National Park. She has been a guide since 1998 and lives and works in Antsaha Jirama, a village in Ranomafana, which is 6 km from where she works.

Dr. Patricia Wright was invited to be this year's 'Earthstock Keynote Speaker' at the annual Earthstock event, run by Stony Brook University.
The event ran from April 20th to April 24th with the aim to celebrate Earth Day.

Baby golden bamboo lemur (Hapalemur aureus) 💛
This young golden bamboo lemur was observed playing and jumping around a bamboo patch in the Talatakely portion of Ranomafana National Park.
The species is listed as critically endangered by the IUCN.

🔥 FIRE CRISIS: Ranomafana Women’s Weavers Group
Several nights ago in Ranomafana Village, a devastating fire destroyed the shop of the Women’s Weavers Group Famiova along with three neighbouring shops and a private home.

Lahatra has been a tour guide in Ranomafana Park since 2000 and has completed several training courses on tour leadership, such as welcoming and managing tourists in the Park.

We recently had the privilege of welcoming Stephanie Arnold at CVB, the Chargée d'Affaires of Mission for the U.S. Mission to the Republic of Madagascar and the Union of the Comoros. She was joined by Public Affairs Officer Craig Ferguson and Public Diplomacy Officer Alex Burns.
RASABO Loret is one of the first research guides in Ranomafana National Park. In 1984, researcher Dr.
Patricia C. Wright arrived in Ranomafana, and that is when Loret's work as a guide first began.

The newly appointed President of Stony Brook University Dr. Andrea Goldsmith, visited Madagascar and CVB in January. She was accompanied by her husband, Dr. Arturo Salz, her Chief of Staff, Jennifer Almquist and Scott Barrett, Stony Brook’s Interim Vice President for Advancement.
RAFIDISON Stephenson worked with a butterfly researcher in the Vatovavy Forest in KIANJAVATO in 1986-1987. The researcher he worked with was from New York, and they discovered many species of butterflies as well as other animals.
