In 2024, we:
🛑 Helped with emergency evacuations.
🛑 Restructured our work to make things safer for everyone.
🛑 Expanded our “Emigration” project: opened a shelter in Armenia and offered consultations.
🛑 Launched a lovely new matchmaking project — Queer Matchmaker.

10/10 State Duma deputies do not see the difference between different groups of people who don't conform to gender norms. This also makes it harder for trans people to stay in the closet for safety. Even wealthy, powerful influencers are now vulnerable to harassment and scrutiny.

1/10 A blogger's participation in an educational event in Russia turned into a scandal because of… the blogger's androgynous style.

Total Dictation is an annual educational event that has been held in Russia and other countries to promote literacy.

9/10 Accusations of LGBT propaganda have been leveled not only against the blogger, but also against the educational institution that invited him.

Transphobia in Russia affects not only openly trans people, but also gender-nonconforming cisgender people.

9/9 Or at least if basic security was provided in the camp.
But all these deaths, rapes, injuries and suicides remain unseen.

1/9 Another Russian trans refugee died in the Netherlands

Alisa Serova, trans woman, who fled Russia in 2023, when she was just 16 years old.

Under the Dutch rules, underage refugees should be placed separately and wait to come of age to obtain their residence permit...

8/9 The Dutch migration service bears most of the responsibility for all the suicides and deaths. If those asylum seeker cases had been processed within a couple of months (as it should be according to the law), these deaths wouldn't have happened.
