Bill C-22 is being rushed through Parliament without fully addressing how this surveillance framework will affect Canadians, especially those in rural communities.
The impacts of this legislation will be felt across rural Canada, where population density, connectivity, and digital infrastructure differ significantly from urban centres.
Rushing a bill that shapes how Canadians’ data is accessed and managed is a mistake.
We do not need to trade liberty for security. We can, and must, protect both.
This is not a mystery: because of grade inflation, many students don’t do the reading because they’re not incentivized to do the reading.
Students are just as smart and ambitious as they always have been, they’re just put in an environment where working hard isn’t explicitly rewarded. We are not cooked if faculty can reverse course (as many are already doing). Assign the readings, design the course to reward hard work and learning, and you’ll be amazed at the results.
@cessonmute@yas099009 These men have no self-awareness. It’s ok to be wrong sometimes, you hard-headed mfs! The world will keep spinning, I guarantee it! @AnnoyingLeafFan
There is a direct line from treating unborn children as disposable things, to disabled and sick people, to state-sanctioned killing posing as “healthcare.”
This is why we fight for every precious human life at every stage.
Would the #Libs champion a mentally ill individual starving themselves, injuring themselves, or berating themselves? No? Then why would they let such an individual kill themselves?
👏💯This is the man who should have been our PM! The #Libs proposed MAID expansion is disgusting and condemnable. The nature of so many mental illnesses renders them difficult to effectively treat within a short amount of time.
I echo the call from these 90 disability and mental health groups and respectfully urge @MarkJCarney to halt the expansion of MAID to people with the sole condition of mental illness. We have already seen how it puts vulnerable people at risk. 1/2

That time, irrespective of its duration, should be filled with compassion, not an influx of misleading MAID propaganda. Life is a human right and suggesting that those whose lives require a little extra effort and govt funding must be eliminated is incredibly unacceptable.
Warning from Apple to Canada on Bill C-22 "As you know, this may be one of the last times we're permitted to discuss the consequences of this legislation publicly."
"That's because of the bill's secrecy provisions which forbid companies like Apple from even discussing the orders we receive with our users or the public." @Apple

If MAID had been available to her during her darkest days battling mental illness, @LiaMilousis wouldn't be here today.
I put my interviewer hat back on to speak with Lia, now a lawyer and human rights advocate, about her story.
