@HMRCcustomers I can add our tax reference for the year here but can't see an option to quote the reference specifically requested on the letter. The lady on the CT line suggetsed if I pay without quoting this reference it will likely get stuck in suspense.

@HMRCcustomers How do you make an R&D tax repayment? I have a 12 digit X ref to quote when making the payment. On the paying HMRC link 'Pay your Corporation Tax bill' it doesn't ask for the reference and Other taxes option requires a 14/15 digit ref.

@HMRCcustomers The CT line didn't know either, they suggested I call the R&D helpine again, so going full circle.

@HMRCcustomers We've been asked to make a payment received back to HMRC but the letter just says go to paying hmrc webpage.

I called the R&D line earlier and they didn't know so asked me to call CT line. On the phone to Corporation tax line now and they don't know either.
