I think this is the *critical* point that many folks gloss over - when it comes to housing "affordability", we are FULLY cooked already. Homeowners *can't* demand cheaper housing without obliterating the book value of the houses they are IN.
I know this is going to be immensely unpopular post, but it needs to be said.
If they lowered housing prices by 30%, it’s going to cost a LOT of people their homes. Anyone who bought in the last decade and doesn’t have over 30% equity won’t get a mortgage renewal.

Yesterday I bought a cup of coffee for $3
I now have a $3 trade deficit with the coffee shop so I am imposing a 50% trade tariff on them.
Today my coffee cost me $4.50

Narrator: "In fact, none of the cents of savings will be passed to hard-working Canadians at the pump"
See: every single province that temporarily cut the gas tax, in which O&G corps hiked prices back up over the gap almost immediately.
At midnight tonight, Canada is finally done with the federal carbon tax, the worst tax ever.
Now, we need to see every cent of savings passed onto hard-working Canadians at the pumps.
@Jessa_McLean NDP: "We plan to vote against the Liberals in confidence confidence vote at the earliest opportunity"
Also the NDP: "omg does anyone want to be a candidate? The Liberals just unexpectedly called a snap election!!! Btw what even is a platform lol"
I love how we’ve been expecting an election for MONTHS now….yet the NDP and Liberals are just bypassing nomination meetings to appoint their favs.
Fuck democracy. Am I right?

"Fading away"? The literal text IN THE IMAGE states that the Liberal share has grown since the last Abacus poll earlier in the month. Sure it's not reflecting the higher %s shown by other pollsters - the last Abacus one didn't either - which more likely indicates polling biases

A Canadian Premier, @ABDanielleSmith, openly admitting to soliciting a foreign government to meddle in our election to benefit Poilievre is absolutely unacceptable. This is more than enough reason for her to resign immediately—she is clearly unfit for office.
Poilievre is just like Trump. That's what she said.
Canadians hate Trump.
Ouch.

@KatKanada_TM@MarkJCarney This is the same as conservative carbon policy, specifically targeting industry production and emissions. The rebate system was vastly superior and created more effective market pressure to go green.
@That_Bebbzy_Guy@BrunoChieco6@fordnation@MarkJCarney You know that the carbon tax is a Conservative idea right? And that the original conservative proposal was for it to be on industry, not consumers - right? So he's literally following the Conservative script on this. You're just mad it's a red team doing it and not blue. 🙄
@JeromyYYC I want to support these goals - but you're right, it needs to be a different path forward to accomplish them. Does affordable housing mean blanket developer subsidies? Does safer streets just mean more cops? I hope not, I wouldn't support either. Do you have more detail on plans?
Liar.
You voted against the Canada/Ukraine free trade agreement & you voted against military aid to Ukraine on multiple occasions.
You only "stand with Ukraine" when it serves your political purposes...and now seems to be a convenient time for you. #cdnpoli
