@robertliefeld I'm a big believer in Inferno. The tie-in issue of Daredevil that Ann Nocenti and JRJR did is one of my favourite comics of all time. Totally, everything Daredevil is all about. The man who despite being messed up to the point of a hospital bed will never give up to Evil.
@HeerJeet I think the bigger scandal is that even though the jury vote on his guilt of the crime of Impiety and Corrupting the Youth was close, the next vote on him being put to death or just exiled was strongly in favour of death so there are totally citizens who voted "innocent+kill".
@ClassicGIJoe Controversial opinion, sending G.I. Joe into space to fight aliens (in 1994) wasn't a bad idea when you consider how popular X-Files, Independence Day, MIB and other 90's alien stuff was but without a good story line it was doomed.
Ngl as a Canadian Nelvana going under is a serious gut punch. Canada used to have the children's animation game on LOCK. And now the juggernaut holding it together for 50 years is gone bruh. Canadian Animation in terms of large scale studios feels.....dead. and I don't know what to do bruh. But thank you for everything to everyone who worked for them. Nelvana made so many of our childhoods magical. Truly.
Had my first starring role in an animated show with Rescue Heroes in 2000 and worked on Nelvana projects right up to Miss Persona a couple of years ago.
A 🇨🇦 success story, sorry to see it go.

Not everyone remembers this, but in the 90s, YTV’s Dark Night blocks were packed with shows like Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark? During the credits, the PJs would drop show related trivia questions for a chance to win horror-themed prizes!
Ever since Jimmy Carter lost the election to Ronald Reagan in 1980 one thing is clear, the American public has no patience for any politician who uses words like “sacrifice”.
The idea of a leader who gives the message of “make do with less” is utterly alien.
@ranmasaotome96 That movie is the reason why a certain group of American boys dreamed up growing up to be truckers the same way a generation earlier they dreamed of being astronauts.
@HeerJeet In the director’s commentary, Hughes said that this bit was included for two reasons. 1) he needed someone to talk about a dry subject in class for gags 2)it’s relevant to the themes of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in “stupid adults ruin everything”
Well, I guess it’s that time of year again where Kanye does something ill advise (he’s done an interview in a black klan hood) and the algorithm wants me to see it.
Its kind of pathetic.
It feels like there’s a pattern of behaviour (with him and with the news cycle) where he says some heinous shit, everybody says he’s gone too far and we need to cancel him. Then a few months go by and he’s back in the news as “lolz what a goofball, what’ll he say next”
Ed Piskor died a year ago today. He was a tremendous talent. I had great experiences with Ed, personally and professionally, and I miss talking with him.
