The LA County Supervisors approved just under $3m in settlements stemming from LASD personnel in August. Incidents include a lieutenant driving drunk and a deputy sexually exploiting a disabled woman.

23 years ago this week: Deondre Brunston was gunned down by LA County Sheriff's deputies after he threw a sandal at a police dog. My additional review of this case revealed that some of the deputies behind Deondre's death are part of a deputy gang.

#BREAKING: LA Supervisor @HollyJMitchell has written a motion directing the LA County Sheriff's Dept to identify deputy gangs within its ranks.

If passed, the names of the gangs could be made public as soon as next year.
