I know a few of you look for old SeaWorld merch on eBay, if you ever see a hat/cap with this on it, could you let me know? I'd like on for sentimental reasons 🥺
@Channel4News He was not swallowed. The gullet of a Humpback Whale is not large enough for a person, let alone the watercraft. He entered the whale’s mouth but was not swallowed.
My whale watch in Kaikoura was cancelled :( I think that means I’ve lost my chances of seeing orcas in NZ. But I’ve been so lucky to see a Bryde’s Whale, Dusky Dolphins (and Scratchy the interloping bottlenose), and I think a Hectors Dolphin from the ferry.
I know this account is basically dead but I just wanted to share that after many years of whale watching I finally saw a humpback whale breach today ☺️
This juvenile just off the coast by Sydney breached 5-6 times while his mama pec slapped nearby 🥰
Killer whales that once cooperatively hunted #whales with whalers may be extinct!

I’m so deeply saddened by the news of Tokitae/Sk’aliCh’elh-tenaut’s passing. I had really hoped for a more positive ending to her life.
I don’t really know what else to say.
@seaofsurprises_@SeaofPower@katstudioss@alexiisveiga Yeah the Dolphin Adventures show we saw was only 15mins. It feels so short compared to shows of the past :/ it felt there was so much more opportunity for education too.
The 12pm Orca Encounter was… lacking today. No hunt segment, and there were no whales in the pool when they talked about husbandry (like how they weight them, lifting the peduncle out of the water, this section should have whales right?).
@alexiisveiga I get that, but it just seems like it happens every time I go. Now that could be bad luck on my part but I do worry about the Orlando pod…
Makaio carried most of the first segment. Trua didn’t seem engaged and we didn’t see the girls at all. I get that sometimes these things happen but I have yet to see a complete Orca Encounter at SWO with more than a few non-splash behaviours :/
