We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to @DublinAirport for giving us a grant through their Community Fund. This will help us buy more AEDs to equip our volunteers with. We are very grateful.

With the upsurge in COVID-19 and norovirus this summer, wearing PPE has been recommended for our volunteers at calls where it is suspected that either is present. At training last Thursday, our volunteers practiced CPR wearing full PPE. Warm work!

Sepsis is a life-threatening complication of an infection. Anyone with an infection can get sepsis, but some research shows it may be more prevalent in men.
Don't ignore the signs, if you or someone you care for has the symptoms or is very unwell, call 999.

Well done to Malahide Lions Club, who hosted a CPR/AED training session yesterday in Grand Hotel. 47 people attended the session, and learnt a very valuable skill. We were delighted to be a part of it!

All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the Lions Club to cover the costs of hosting the event.
Some of our members will be there helping out. We hope to see you there!

Another @Irishheart_ie Hands for Life session carried out on Monday evening by Declan.
This time it was in Corduff National School in Lusk, where there is an AED on site that is also available out of hours.

17 attended - parents of children in the school as well as neighbours who have access to the AED.
What a fabulous and lifesaving amenity to have for the community.
