The UAE Is Fueling Sudan’s War. U.S. Complicity Helps Make It Possible. Interesting read on the decline of American influence in the Horn of Africa and the delegation to UAE of a sub-imperial role. https://t.co/C5aG5MXVqu
STATEMENT OF THE AU COMMISSION ON THE ESCALATING TENSIONS BETWEEN ETHIOPIA, ERITREA AND EGYPT
The African Union Commission is closely following with concern the heightened tensions between Ethiopia, Eritrea and Egypt.
The Commission calls on all three Member States to exercise maximum restraint and refrain from actions or statements that could further escalate tensions and undermine regional peace and stability.
The Commission further underscores the importance of preserving channels of communication and urges the three countries to address their differences through established diplomatic channels and peaceful dialogue, in accordance with the principles of the Constitutive Act of the African Union.
The AU Commission stands ready, in consultation with the countries concerned, to support efforts towards de-escalation, dialogue and the peaceful resolution of differences.

You see the difference though? We actually have a vision for Africa.
We want African countries producing their own food, processing their own resources, manufacturing their own products and building their own technology. Strong African nations working together for trade, defense and development.
Meanwhile, you’re sitting in Nigeria with an Israeli flag in your name, attacking African unity while defending more of the same Western-aligned bullshit. So what exactly is your vision for Africa? You never fucking say.
More elections every four years while the same corrupt clowns steal everything? More raw materials leaving the continent? More IMF loans? More importing finished products made from our own resources?
You spend all day bashing Pan-Africanists, but where is your actual plan? How would you industrialize Nigeria? How would you stop corruption, keep resource wealth inside the country and create jobs? You don’t talk about any of that.
Pan-Africanism has never been fully implemented for you to blame it for Africa’s failure. For the last 60–70 years, Africa has been stuck with colonial borders, foreign dependence and imported political and economic systems.
That is what produced the current situation, not some Pan-African system that never existed.
We want Africa to produce, manufacture, defend itself and create its own vision. You apparently want more of the same subjugation. Stop telling everybody what you hate and explain what the fuck you actually want for Africa.
@rhaelicvnt Was lucky enough to meet some Silo fans at a work conference after season one. We never met again but I'd like to think they are somewhere out there enjoying this moment as much as I am.
