How the HCOW airdrop will be paid

We are publishing these rules before TGE, not after it. Once published, they apply to rewards already earned, and we will not change them for those rewards afterwards.

1. Where the tokens come from

The Community / Airdrop allocation is 8,000,000 HCOW, 4% of the fixed 200,000,000 supply. It sits in the sealed vesting contract like every other allocation: 37.5% (3,000,000 HCOW) unlocks at TGE, and the rest vests linearly over six months.

Its beneficiary is a claim contract, HCOWClaim. Vested tokens flow into it, and each recipient claims their own share from it. Nobody, including us, can redirect this allocation now that the vesting contract is sealed.

Tokens in the claim contract are not the same as tokens distributed. Only claimed amounts reach recipients.

2. How each reward type unlocks

Mini-app rewards (including Season 1 and events run in the mini-app): the mini-app keeps running after TGE, so its rewards are settled month by month. Each month's rewards are paid 33% in the first round after that month closes, and the rest over the following 2 months (3 rounds in total). The same rule applies every month.
TaskOn campaign: 20% in the first round, the rest over 8 months (9 rounds)
Awareness program: 3 equal parts over 3 months, starting with the first round (3 rounds)
Build phase contributors: 25% in the first round, the rest over 3 months (4 rounds)
Other small rewards: 100% in the first round (1 round)

The first round opens after TGE, once its list has been published. We will announce its date in October. Later rounds open 30 days apart.

These ratios are not written into the contract. They are applied when each round's list is built, and the list is what the contract enforces.

3. What we publish, and when

Before every round opens, we publish:
- the full list, wallet address and amount only, with no names, handles or emails
- the Merkle root of that list
- the files needed to rebuild the root yourself

The root is written to the claim contract on chain as a public event. The contract will not let a round open until at least 24 hours after that event, so every list is public before it can pay anyone.

WHY WE BUILT SEASON 1

HCOW has grown quickly. More than 16,000 accounts, 15 games, and a token launch ahead of us.

But an account is not a player. Neither is a click, a sign-up, or a name on a leaderboard. And the honest truth is that most Web3 projects find out which of their numbers were real only after the token is out — when it is far too late to do anything about it.

We would rather find out now. With twenty days and a small prize pool, while it still costs us nothing to be wrong.

So Season 1 measures something different.

WHAT WE DECIDED TO MEASURE

Not who joined. Four moments that separate a player from a number.

They finish a first game. Sixty seconds — long enough that they chose to keep going instead of closing the app.

They come back within one to three days. Almost nobody who is only here for a reward does this.

They try a second game. That means HCOW got them, not just one title.

They are still here on day seven. This is the only one that predicts anything, so it is worth double.

That is the whole scoring system. Four moments, five points, no judging
panel, no bonus for posting, no bonus for anything we cannot measure.

WHY WE ASKED YOU INSTEAD OF BUYING ADS

A player who came because someone they know invited them behaves differently from a player who came from an advertisement. Everyone in this industry says that. Very few have measured it on their own product.

That is what Season 1 actually is: a test of whether our own players can bring people who stay. Every HCOW Spin account has a contributor link waiting in the Season tab — no application, no roster, no waiting list.
