I may not understand everything that happened, but I choose to be grateful for what we had and for the lessons it gave me. Some endings are painful, but they can also be learning how to love yourself, appreciate people while they are still there, and let go with respect.
Our almost five-year relationship didn’t end because there was no love. It ended because, somewhere along the way, we stopped understanding each other.
She was not really the vocal type, but I knew she loved me in her own way. +++++
I still miss her, and a part of me probably always will. But I’m slowly learning that letting go doesn’t mean I stopped loving her. Sometimes, love is real, but two people can still grow in different directions. ++++
And maybe, that's enough.
To know that once in this lifetime, I loved someone so deeply that even time couldn't convince my heart that it never happened.
