Very happy that Congress has just passed the Bill to extend #PPP application deadline beyond March 31 to May 31. Lenders can continue to fund until June 30th. 🙌🏼🇺🇸

Good/Bad/Ugly #PPP updates:

•We’ve submitted over 5,000 apps to lenders / SBA for approval, totaling $500M in volume.

Candidly, we really haven’t even started yet. Once we get the new hires dialed in & responding better to customers, the pace will increase dramatically.

It brings up an interesting debate on whether #ppploans <$150k should be auto-forgiven. IMO, the application should be as simple as possible, but it should still require documentation

1/ 4/14 #PPP Update: stoked to see the approval # accelerating.

•Today, we saw 4000 SMBs approved for $1B.

•In addition, we had 300 banks continuing to process their bank customers (estimated another $0.5B).

•So far, hired 170 new employees to try to keep up w/ demand...

1/ Wow. What a mess! Just got off a conf call with the SBA. The @SBAgov & @USTreasury are having a power struggle and this is turning into a disaster. Millions of small businesses will be lining up for loans tomorrow, yet those 2 organizations are fighting about process & forms.

1/ Unfortunately bc of COVID19, the demand for business loans has crippled @SBAgov. I have several extremely intelligent friends & colleagues @ SBA, but they have inherited outdated tech that is not equipped to handle the current situation... which has now turned into a disaster.
