I congratulate the University of Ghana’s School of Performing Arts for that masterful reenactment of the transatlantic enslavement at the Osu Castle during the Next Steps Juneteenth commemoration.
Their brilliant performance is receiving wide international acclaim with invitations already pouring in from multiple countries including Barbados, Jamaica and the US.
Really proud of Ghana’s outstanding diverse talents.
May I wish all our hardworking and caring men a Happy Father’s Day.

Kevin Kiarie trained in the rain, fundraised his money, went to Benin and won.
Being a man ain’t easy.
Truphena who was a lady was approached by many brands for just hugging a tree.
How do I convince my children that education is the key to a comfortable and fulfilling life when the lecturers under @UASUKenya are demonstrating to get their dues, Clinical Officers in Marsabit and Siaya are on strike because the counties did not submit their third party deductions to respective institutions among other issues, Nurses under @KNUNOFFICIAL in Siaya were brutalized as they demonstrated and Doctors in Kiambu @kmpdu have been locked out by the administration to arm twist them to give up their right to Join and participate in the activities of a Trade Union.
When @UHCmedicsKe
have to demonstrate almost for 12 months to be paid and absorbed in line with prevailing laws, Global Fund staff also having worked for 14 months without pay and @MOH_Kenya
and @KenyaGovernors keep tossing them around instead of absorbing them.
It isn't business as usual when the people who are expected to be role models are frustrated into unending strikes and demonstrations.
A society that demeans the highly educated is only but jeopardizing its future coz many young people do not see the value of education.
@WilliamsRuto@HonWetangula@HonAmasonKingi should intervene.
🚨 Health Unions Demand Action on Kiambu Crisis: Kenya’s umbrella of health unions is calling for urgent action on:
- UHC Staff Absorption: Counties yet to issue permanent and pensionable letters despite harmonized salaries.
- Career Guidelines: Council of Governors interfering with PSC directives.
- Remuneration: Full SRC reviewed pay structures still pending.
Kiambu County Flashpoints: Kiambu has failed to implement SRC salary guidelines, salaries are delayed and promotions stalled, medical cover is inadequate, union deductions have been stopped unilaterally, and workers face victimisation through arbitrary transfers.
The umbrella insists immediate solutions are needed to protect healthcare workers’ rights and safeguard service delivery.
