I’m going to ask everyone to stop dragging 17 or 18 years ago old students and trying to identify their political affiliations. They’re not going to be perfect liberals like you want. How many of us were at that age? When you grow up in savarna households, certain things like equality and the horrors of caste and communalism are just not taught to you. You have to give kids a chance to learn and more importantly you have to teach them and try to set an example.
They will figure it out just like so many of us did. They will pick up a volume of Dr. Ambedkar’s writings, they will pick up Dr. Sainath’s book, they will read the articles so many of you write and look at your rational posts and come to their own understanding. Maybe we can show them the right way through our words and actions.
