With eight months left on its charter, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has ceased to exist according to the Trump Administration.
Radio talk show host @DavidGornoski was at the center of the storm when @ElonMusk endorsed a role for Ron Paul in DOGE and he joins today's Liberty Report to discuss those heady early days and how the principles of DOGE will remain alive and continue to grow.
Also today: the sad departure of Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Still, a beautiful design always contains some unexpected combination that shocks us with its appropriateness... As in art, so in technology. –Brian Arthur
What will happen when philosophy integrates into science?
Kuhn’s The Structure of Scientific Revolutions is a classic. Soon after Kuhn began advancing his ideas, pressure from scientists prompted him to censor the philosophical portion.
Kuhn’s philosophical concerns about science went missing in The Essential Tension. Then he became adamant his essay, The Function of Dogma in Scientific Research, be excluded as well. Gradually, his lectures on the philosophy of creation circulated only as samizdat.
Those with a moral compass gravitate to philosophy. Those who study it naturally begin to improve their own moral compass.
Those aiming to create breakthroughs in science have a compass, whether they admit it or not.
Integrating philosophy into science increases the probability of moral breakthroughs.
Research in The Myth of Capitalism is an exploration into the reality of our economic system. Antitrust declined in the 1970s. Monopoly consolidation rose across every industry.
There never was a "free market." There are tradeoffs for everything. Some things are less expensive than others. Creating better markets is possible. However, that requires an honest assessment of our current economic system.
We're in the fourth turning. Capitalism is at the edge of chaos. Biology shows us that at the edge of chaos, complex systems either fail or adapt. Capitalism is adapting. The first turning might bring evolution.
The USA is returning to its founding ethos. The founding can never happen again. The ethos certainly can. The public focus is shifting from the national, through the states, cities, and back to the family. As this focus of attention shifts, Americans become empowered. Affecting change at a national level is difficult. But at the state, city, neighborhood, and family level, the possibility of influence grows.
The founding ethos that made America possible is alive and well in Texas. Never bet against America. Never bet against an economy with the nickname the Texas Miracle. With ~31M Texans, and the Lone Star logo displayed almost everywhere you go, Texas’s rise is just beginning.
Texas is already the world’s eighth-largest economy. More Texans are building frontier technologies than ever before. Texans with skin in the game now, and in the future through their children, have a higher probability of creating technological miracles. Texas has a critical mass of creators with aligned values. There are refugees from all over the USA. They chose the center of gravity here.
New York led the creation of financial technologies. California led the creation of informational technologies. The Texas Way is the middle path.
Brian Arthur’s study of what technology is and how it evolves provides a window to understand what will happen in Texas. Arthur defines technology as a means to fulfill a human purpose. If the human purpose is to serve your family, Texas, and the USA, even better.
America grew from humble origins into the world’s largest economy in 120 years. The primary catalyst was industrialization. Forty years after industrialization began in America, it became the largest economy in the world.
The re-industrialization movement is sweeping America. The culture, capital, and policy in Texas have created the best ecosystem for it. The next 40 years in Texas will mirror what happened in America after industrialization began.
Better to be discovering what’s worth discovering,
Noticing what you notice,
And putting it into sentences that, from the very beginning,
Open the reader’s trust and curiosity,
Creating a willingness in the reader to see what you’ve discovered,
No matter what genre you call it.
Or, better yet, make the reader forget about genre completely.

AUSTIN RESTAURANT Yellow Ranger is once again lashing out at Austin Justice — calling this account “dangerous” and menacingly telling followers to “make Nazis afraid.”
They’re not happy. And honestly, that’s understandable.
Any business owner would be stressed and alarmed trying to keep a restaurant afloat while witnessing their small neighborhood deteriorate under these dramatic crime surges:
• Auto thefts: +650%
• Criminal trespass: +600%
• Aggravated assault: +500%
• Fraud: +400%
• Rape: +200%
• Assault with injury: +125%
• Burglary of residence: +67%
• Burglary of sheds/storage: +3,100%
• Family disturbance: +400%
• Mail theft: +300%
• DWI: +200%
• Animal cruelty: +200%
• Theft of trailers: +200%
Yellow Ranger doesn’t need to be shouted down or boycotted.
They need what every Austin resident and business, including theirs, deserves: safe streets and enforced laws.
We are now one week from our targeted launch date.
We’ll let you know if anything changes, but things are looking good.

"It is the struggle of adversarial forces that generates the logic of strategy, which is always and everywhere paradoxical, and as such is diametrically opposed to the commonsense, linear logic of everyday life." -Edward Luttwak
Renown historian @ELuttwak evaluates the current balance of power and discusses the specter of WW3, Taiwan, the post-nuclear era, the Middle East, tariffs, deindustrialization in the United States, and the future of the American Dream. 🌎 https://t.co/bakpbDxYDQ
