Love or hate newspapers, but Op-Ed is one of the last means of sharing one’s clearly labeled *opinion* to a wide audience without being tech savvy.

As for "even younger" they mean that they hope that the average age will drop (presumably for puberty blockers, which are reversible), not that 3 year olds will show up!
