Over Fourth of July weekend, over 100,000 people joined Team NS and @UnionPacific to celebrate America’s 250 and experience Big Boy No. 4014 and The Bell No. 1776 at one of the tour’s most historic stops: https://t.co/2KBQRnppvK
CEO Mark George and Union Pacific CEO Jim Vena took the stage at the America250 Block Party to reflect on the role railroads have played in building this great nation, and the opportunity ahead to build what comes next.
Alongside our railroaders, customers, community leaders, and railfans, we celebrated two days in the birthplace of American independence.
More than a celebration of history, this weekend was a visible example of what’s possible when two railroads come together—connecting communities, strengthening supply chains, and building for the future.

🗽🚂 No. 2026 – The Lady Liberty 🚂🗽
Created by the skilled team at Juniata Locomotive Shop, No. 2026 combines artistry, precision, and more than 1,000 labor hours of sanding, priming, masking, and painting:
▪️ 96 gallons of primer, paint and clear coat
▪️ Ribbons are painted on and the Lady Liberties are 10-piece vinyl decals
▪️ Approximately 200 of those 1,000 labor hours went into applying the vinyl decals and carefully positioning the ribbons after the white paint was applied
Shout out to the best paint shop in the country – our Juniata crew!

The Orioles place plaques on the street outside right field for every home run that lands there 😮⚾
Eutaw Street features dozens of bronze discs that mark all of the homers that have landed there in Oriole Park history - all 134 of them
The spot is carefully marked when a homer lands there, then plaques are created after the season and laid out the following spring
