Mox vs. KENTA was a great match! May reflect back as one of those epic matches that wasn't trying to be epic. They told a lot of story in 14-minutes, never trying to push it into "crazy main-event finisher kickout" territory. It just worked. Had the build/anticipation. Delivered
Getting caught up on the last month of #AEW happenings. These have been some really great shows with awesome main-events, speaking specifically of the pair of tag bouts that ended Beach Break and the 2/10 episode. PPV quality stuff.
@Maverick_LOP AJ made that match. I didn't know he had that in him. When you can sell a line like "Please don't bury me," and do it really well, you've mastered being a "WWE Superstar"
Roman Reigns is on a different level than everyone else right now as a character. There are other interesting characters across the pro wrestling landscape, but every week on #SmackDown, The Head of the Table keeps setting the bar that much higher. Truly a joy to see it #Respect
Help me out here. Been MIA from Twitter since Sunday. What's the reaction been to Edge winning the Rumble? I like Mrs. Doc's take: "Edge is an exception to the part-timer thing; he actually has something to give beyond just his name." #WWE#WrestleMania
@license2B_Real@WWEDanielBryan @WWEBrayWyatt Worth a re-watch, depending on your tastes for the wrestling experience. Sometimes, I actually prefer watching on TV to pick up the little things you can't see when live (like sports).
Rewatched @WWEDanielBryan vs. The Fiend @WWEBrayWyatt from last year's #RoyalRumble. Quite underrated, I think. Great storytelling, both within the context of that night and their over-arching narrative dating back to 2014. Hard hitting. Yet again, Bryan brings out Wyatt's best
Reminder that we overthink stuff as diehard wrestling fans: my 8 y/o should root against Bayley, right? @itsBayleyWWE has done everything to make girls like my daughter root for against her. However she loves Bayley's "Ding Dong, Hello!" catchphrase. And that's it. She loves her!
Watching a bunch of #WWE matches from the past few yrs recently with my daughter, one of the people I've been really impressed with, in terms of improvement/potential/character, is @PeytonRoyceWWE. Nights like #RoyalRumble were made for stars like her to take it to the next level
I rewatched @BeckyLynchWWE winning the #RoyalRumble. Crowd goes bananas when she walks out. My daughter is now into wrestling. I try to refrain from saying anything "insider" beyond an organic "that was awesome," but that pop...I said to her, "That's what wrestling is all about."
Watching the Bryan-Fiend match last night, I was reminded how much I enjoy the Fiend. Nothing with him is about "great matches," and while that turns some away understandably in a workrate-obsessed fandom (not disassociating from that, FYI), it's quite the change of pace to me
