Idea: Everyone takes 2 weeks quarantine EVERY YEAR at the same time. Last two weeks of Jan maybe? Would severely stop all contagious diseases and save many many lives!
Easy to prep for and therefore low cost. Gov could pick up the tab and still come out ahead on the back end!
This is WILD!
Ray Kurzweil, the futurist who predicted the internet, smartphones, and AI says aging ends by 2032 (Save this)
Kurzweil, now 78 years old, told a live audience that humanity will reach longevity escape velocity by 2032 and he explained exactly what that means with mathematical precision.
Right now, for every year you live, you get back approximately five months of life expectancy from medical and scientific progress meaning you are losing roughly seven months of net life per calendar year.
Longevity escape velocity is the threshold where that ratio flips, for every year you live, you get back a full year or more from scientific progress, meaning your biological clock starts running backward.
Kurzweil's prediction is that threshold hits by 2032 and beyond that point, you do not simply stop dying of aging, you actively get younger every year.
The mechanism is AI-driven drug discovery at a scale that was physically impossible five years ago.
By 2030, Kurzweil argues, AI will be able to take a biological problem, generate millions of potential drug candidates, screen all of them, and run trials on simulated digital populations compressing decades of clinical research into weeks.
This is already happening.
David Sinclair's lab at Harvard used AI to virtually screen 8 billion molecules against aging targets and is now preparing human trials moving from $400,000 gene therapies toward a $100 pill that can reset biological age by 50 to 95% in four weeks.
Sinclair has already demonstrated the ability to reverse aging in mammals restoring sight in mice with optic nerve damage and reversing Alzheimer's symptoms in lab models.
Kurzweil's track record is what makes the 2032 claim impossible to dismiss.
He predicted the internet's global dominance in 1990, the defeat of a world chess champion by a computer in 1998, pocket-sized devices as primary communications tools in 1999, and AI passing professional exams in the mid-2020s, all before anyone else was saying it publicly.
If you are under 60 and in reasonable health, his message is stay alive, stay healthy, and get to 2032.
The tools on the other side of that date will be unlike anything medicine has ever produced.
Afghan Army commanders brought their child sex slaves onto US bases; Marines got PTSD from hearing them get raped at night

People have no idea how bad it is there
The picture you carry inside your head of who you are, what you're capable of, what you deserve, and what's possible for you is the silent referee of every single move you make, and because you don't behave according to what you say, your goals, or what you want, your entire life becomes a mirror of that self image, your subconscious mind is simply executing the orders of that internal blueprint, which means the gap between where you are and where you want to be is just the mismatch between who you secretly believe you are and the version of yourself you keep trying to talk yourself into.
And this is exactly why people do not change unless they change their self image first, because things like goal setting, willpower, motivation, and discipline are all happening at the surface level of behavior while the internal picture stays exactly the same, you cannot out discipline your own identity for more than a few weeks before it pulls you back, which is why the only real way to change your life is to change the picture first, and once that internal baseline genuine shifts, the behavior follows by itself without a daily battle because your subconscious starts steering you toward a completely different home.
It is also why the exact same person keeps ending up in the exact same place no matter how much the outer circumstances change, because the brain operates like a guided missile that treats any mismatch between your reality and your self image as a problem to be corrected, and it always corrects toward the image, so you can land your dream job, lose 50 pounds, or win the lottery, but if your self image is still poor person or fat person or not good enough, your mind will unconsciously find ways to sabotage the opportunity, destroy the progress, and bring you right back home to the ceiling you set on yourself years ago, because the money or the success showed up but the internal picture stayed the same, and the picture always wins.
Mid journey unveils the future of medical scanning:
"Less than a dozen of these machines operating together at full speed can do more full body scans than every MRI machine together on Earth. Our goal is to build a fleet of 50,000 of these scanners, capable together of doing a billion scans a month—enough to bring full body imaging to everyone on Earth."
Using thousands of specialized transducers, this prototype system shoots ultra-precise sound waves through the body at over 1,400 meters per second. As these sonic vibrations echo back, they are captured in data streams of 17 gigabytes per second, measuring changes finer than the width of an atom. A massive 2-petaflop compute ring then merges these thousands of sub-images to map out a highly detailed, 3D internal anatomy of organs and tissues in just 60 seconds.
"This is a new kind of infrastructure. It’s Full Body Ultrasonic Computational Tomography. No such device has ever been built until now, and yeah, we’re calling it the Midjourney Scanner."
My favorite quote from David, was that they want this to be a feel like a genuinely “nice” experience, not a “going to the doctor experience” they’re going to put these inside mid journey spas!
Something I told 14 yo: Once you've prepared sufficiently for exams, switch your focus to "game management." Get enough sleep, keep calm, watch the time, check your answers to avoid dumb mistakes, etc.
You're supposed to use every unfair advantage you have. Looks, genetics, connections, dad's money, whatever.
There's nothing noble about choosing the hardest path just to feel like an underdog.
"Wow, you're telling me people who live in 7 figure homes and never have to interact with anyone who makes less than $75k choose the feel-good ideology that treats everyone like temporarily embarrassed neurosurgeons while people who have to constantly see poverty all vote GOP?"
JD Vance Just EVISCERATED The Hosts of The View over their false claims about Donald Trump and Epstein LIVE On-Air:
"One of the things you see in the Epstein emails is the Jeffrey Epstein hated Donald Trump. Donald Trump literally reported Epstein to the police."
"He threw Epstein out of his club when he found out he was a creep and reported him to the police. That's something the media often misses when it reports the story. They say they knew each other in the 80s... they ignore the fact he narc'ed on him to the police, which ultimately let to Epstein's downfall."
Bill Maher fires back at Billie Eilish and leftist “kids” who “don’t know what the f*ck” America is about.
“I want to… say something about Western civilization. Kids, you don’t know what the f*ck it is.”
“They think Western means white—and white means bad. First of all, everything bad that white people did, people of color did it, too. The Japanese before World War II and during World War II. And Genghis Khan, and I could go on and on.”
“The left is very down on America, very down on the West. And it’s ironic because the West has also given us everything that makes your life good here. Don’t ask Billie Eilish or Chappell Roan about what the Western values are, because they’ll just say it’s about oppression.”
“But it’s not about oppression. It’s about rule of law. It’s about respect for minorities. It’s about democracy. It’s about scientific inquiry. These are all good things that came from the Western world. I wish that schools would teach that again.”
Albert Camus knew the universe is absurd and indifferent. High-agency people look at that void and say 'cool, so there's no referee?' and just start building. The absurd isn't depressing to them, it's liberating. No rules means infinite moves.
This is the aesthetics of the Longhouse vs. the Arena
The Biden era was dominated by the communal smothering of Longhouse culture - consensus, feelings, safetyism, and endless rainbow rituals under the Den Mother’s watchful eye.
The Trump era is the pendulum swinging back to the arena - competition, ambition, risk, strength, order.
It's a necessary correction. America is remembering how to be a nation of warriors and builders again.
Just finished The Market Wizards: The Next Generation. Incredible read.
Here are the top lessons that stuck with me.
-Take the first small loss. The first loss is almost always the cheapest one. The longer you wait, the more it costs you, both in money and in the mental energy spent hoping it turns around.
-Any stock can do anything. No matter how strong your thesis is, the market does not care. A stock can defy logic, fundamentals, and every chart pattern you know. Respect that uncertainty and never bet like you have it figured out.
-Being early is being wrong. You can have the right idea and still lose if your timing is off. The market can stay irrational longer than your account can stay solvent, so wait for confirmation instead of trying to predict the turn.
-Stop out quickly. When the trade goes against your plan, exit fast. Hesitation turns a small, manageable loss into a damaging one. The stop is there to protect you, so honor it.
-Try to get green as fast as possible to prove you are in the right trade.
-Focus on defense more than offense. Protecting your capital matters more than chasing big wins. You cannot make money if you blow up your account, so survival comes first and the gains follow.
-Don’t hope, just get out. Hope is not a strategy. The moment you find yourself praying a trade comes back, that is your signal to close it. Hope keeps you in losers far too long.
-Size based on how attractive the trade is. Not every setup deserves the same size. Push hard when the odds are clearly in your favor and stay small or pass when they are not. Your best ideas should carry the most weight.
-Scale back once you have made it. A common pattern among the Market Wizards: after achieving real success, many traders deliberately pull back the time and energy they pour into the markets so they can live more balanced lives. The goal was never to trade forever. It was to win and then enjoy it.
I was especially mesmerized by Simon Russo’s story.
@jackschwager@gfc4
I’m bored even typing this out, but wanting to preserve your people’s ethnocultural continuity and avoid becoming a minority in your own homeland, especially given the disastrous consequences of mass migration, does not make you a white supremacist. It’s such an intellectually lazy and dishonest smear.
